Democrats are eyeing up a new work-around to force Ukraine aid to the House floor and bypass Speaker Mike Johnson's hesitancy.

Democratic leaders have quietly put in place the mechanisms that could advance a discharge petition, which would force a floor vote on Ukraine aid if a majority of lawmakers sign onto it.

Our political leaders may not murder their political opponents but our foreign policy for the last 30 or 40 years has brought nothing but death and destruction every where it goes. Probably a strategic mistake aided by two factors:

(1) a personal feeling of how much power being at war gives and the hero worship from those in Europe and the West and

(2) bad advise and a lack of support from key players (Washington and others) who have the long term vision to understand where this was headed before it got there.

Many of these folks selfish reasons are why they took the positions they did. Yet they still feed propaganda like things are going fine. It will get worse and pride will make it difficult to change course. Help negotiate when you still look strong and formidable, not when your sucking wind.

The world has gotten way more dangerous since Joe Biden has taken office. Even in the US we have become a tender box with estimates upward of 9-10M illegals entering in 3 years.

The weight on our finances costing 100's of billions. Money grows on 🌳 's Joe and leftist positions.

Putin is a dictator and he invaded, yes.. but I also think Zelensky is a shyster.. both can be true

I'm not sure we can look at it from that angle alone. What is in the best interest of the US, and what are the likely outcomes. Anything else makes you believe the folks calling the shots are incompetent.
