Disagree. Pick the teams that have earned it. Gotta win football games. If you earned the spot with a dominant season and you lose a player at the end oh well. You earned the playoff ticket.

Assuming Michigan hadn't sent our signals over to Beamer last year and won as a result, it is absolutely legitimate to view our team in a lesser light due to Hooker going down. We simply weren't the same after he went down.

The problem with the "deserving" argument is that the team which "earned" their spot isn't the same team which is rewarded with that spot. Depending on the player injuried, the difference in the team with and without the injuries can be night and day. Similarly, a team can progressively improve or steadily get worse over the season; we see this in basketball all the time.

Why were we not a 5 seed? Because Hendo was hurt. Comittee knew we weren’t at full strength. Just like a QB1-less Florida State… they are not better than the SEC champion.

*Current* College football playoffs is a different, weird animal than other tournament sports. Committee has liberties. 12-team will change it.

You can’t punish a team because a player got hurt. Yes Jordan Travis was a great QB but guess what? It’s a team sport. Jordan Travis ain’t the only one that put in work.

Sanky came out today and said it would be ludicrous if Two SEC teams didn’t get in the Championship (I know I’m paraphrasing), so I wasn’t surprised the gumps won. Though, GA was due a loss and learn some humility. Personally, I’m rooting for Washington to win it all. Screw the SEC.

Yes, I want the SEC left out (if not ever UT) but you’re basically saying they should tell all other P5 conferences (and their undefeated champions) to go F themselves. Might as well then just have given the CFP trophy to Bama tonight if that’s the case.

If FSU wins there’s really and truly no logical argument for Bama jumping either Texas or FSU.
