In all honesty, that's the way it should be. Pick the best teams.

Injuries matter. Ignoring them undermines the credibility of their selection.
They never have picked BEST 4 teams consistently.....
Who here believes Cincinnati was one of the 4 best teams a few years ago...

Herbstreit even said they usually select 4 most deserving ....

Good lord, come back to reality man.

I was discussing what will happen next year. You disagreed. Then you go off on a tangent about what you want the playoffs to be, as opposed to what is actually happening LMAO

Take a lap.
I know you were, and I was pointing out that it makes 0 sense.

Disagree. Pick the teams that have earned it. Gotta win football games. If you earned the spot with a dominant season and you lose a player at the end oh well. You earned the playoff ticket.

12 teams next season is great but it will be just for show....

Chalk will prevail 95% of time , you may get the occasional big upset...

But it will be surprising if semifinals every year aren't the top 4 seeds every year....

Just more $$$$$$ for networks ...

Anybody really believe a 12th seeded Kansas State would even smell the championship game?😏😏😏
It’s all window dressing.

Nobody is gonna get hot and make a run. It will be the same ole, same ole champions.

It’s basically the same bowl season setup we have now with interesting matchups, just with more implication on the front end.

We’ll see what the committee does. Recency bias is real but is a pretty good indicator of how teams are playing right now,
Remember Bama needed a miracle to beat lowly Auburn
So recently they have shown they can stink it up
Also Milroe is about as good passing as Milton
If you can scheme to stop his running you can beat Bama

In some years, possibly, if they had early season injuries. I remember UT having teams that looked unbeatable at the end of the year, but lost early in the season.

I understand. This is an is vs ought debate.

I'm rooting for FSU because the they typically (is) pick via deserving criteria. However, the should (ought) simply pick the best 4 teams at season's end.

I agree. FSU was never a great team and without their QB they are not top four IMO. The committee members have said their goal is the four best, not the "most deserving". I'd go with Michigan, Washington, Texas, and Alabama. I usually pull for the SEC in the championship, but I'll go for Washington or Texas this year. Saban's won enough rings.

Yea it can happen you're correct...

First round seeds 5-8 get a home game that's what you shoot for if you aren't a top 4 team...

This game is gonna be slow and sluggish and “not appealing” to the committee so even if FSU wins it may not matter in the end.

Theyve played ND, Clemson and Oregon in non conference in this run.

They also had OU scheduled and Sankey told them to buy it out. Theyve played tough games.
You really are a UGA fan.

Never seen a Vol fan want it’s two biggest rivals make a playoff.

Every post is defending them and why they should be in.

Unreal
