I've thought this for a while. There was no choice but to put us at No. 1 after the Kentucky game, and even then, they couldn't drop us too far for losing to UGA on the road. But the South Carolina loss was a "told you so" moment for the media and the playoff committee.

There's a lot working against us. Our 15 years of mediocrity, Heupel seemingly trending down at UCF following Scott Frost's undefeated season, our poor secondary/passing defense, and the coup de grace was the USC loss combined with Hooker getting injured.

It will all be resolved in time, but it's gonna take a few years of consistent winning in the SEC.

The only category they are better than us in is passing yards allowed and only by 11 spots. We are ranked higher than them in all other main defensive categories. So would probably be a shootout.

I'd feel better about a shootout with Hendon. I have serious doubts about the offense with Joe.

I would like to say I have no idea what to expect from him, but after his Vandy game performance...I am pretty sure what to expect and it ain't good.

I hope I am wrong and the Joe we have seen dropping dimes all year plays a full 60 minute game.

If he had hit those wide open passes the other night we would have hung 70+ and 700+ on them.

All he has to do is hit those passes and we will roll on anybody.
