Paving the way for Alabama to jump OSU for literally no reason. Lol.

When UGA boat races LSU, SCar jumps over them in the rankings and we would also have 2 better losses than Bama, on top of the better wins and head-to-head - opening the door for Vols to jump Bama.

That’s what the back tracking is for.

Apparently he isn’t, and that’s what’s pissed me off more than anything tonight. The Rose Bowl, the ever-proud, self-proclamed “Granddaddy of them All,” is considering lowering itself to take a third-rate B1G team just so Ohio State can get some sun in Miami.

It’s just kind of hit me tonight how much of its unique character this sport has allowed itself to lose.
You are right. I posted that before I read the Rose Bowl's stupid rules as posted by @VolByLaw. My bad.

Don’t matter one bit because that cigar tasted so, so good and playing Clemson in the Orange Bowl is WAY better than K-State in the Sugar. Go Vols!!!l Fu** Alabama!!!🍊🍊

I bummed a cigar from a college kid (didn’t bring my own bc I didn’t want to jinx us). It was by far the worst cigar I’ve ever had, but also the best. The worst bc it was dry and falling apart, the best bc we just beat Bama.

I didn’t know that either until tonight. Never in a million years did I think the Rose Bowl (which has always fancied itself the pinnacle of college football) would stoop to taking the third best team in one of its leagues if it didn’t have to. That’s kind of a disgrace, to be honest.

Sugar or Cotton for us. Orange is taking Ohio State. Unfortunately OSU was there last year and won't travel as well in subsequent years especially after the fan base has been through another Michigan game meltdown.

I am surprised the Sugar is not licking their chops to get Tennessee. Our fanbase is hungry as can be and would pack that stadium. I don't think this is about rankings or anything else, I think it is truly about preference on teams and I think Sugar Bowl would take Tennessee.

One more rumor is for Chik Fil A kick off it might be Tennessee vs. Clemson in Charlotte at 2024. Might wait on that game....

If the CFP won’t accurately reflect head to head can the SEC place us in the Sugar and justify based on conference record and then head to head as the tie breaker? (I know….small chance they would screw over Bama like that)

I was thinking as I was responding to a post in the FF (I know, I know).

If there were a 12 team playoff this year, the championship games would mean more. Clemson at 9, LSU at 11, Utah at 12, Kansas State at 13 would all need to win to ensure that they stayed within the top 12. As it is, USC and maybe TCU really care. Every championship game except the Big Ten would have something on the line, and Michigan would be playing for seeding.
