The issue with this is
1. you keep a starting LB home from a road game.
2. you don’t say why
3. You get absolutely dragged and lose.
4. Rumors start to fly about why and about fights in the locker room.
5. You still don’t say why.
Fans and media will run with this stuff if not addressed.
He can be pissed but he didn’t help the situation.
I get what you’re saying but a coach at any level should never publicly throw a player under the bus unless it’s legal related. That’s when you could really start to lose a locker room. Stuff like that needs to remain in house.
