% Chances these guys are back:
D Wright?
Hyatt?
Tank?
Warren?
Burrell?

I would be way more excited about D Wright than Hyatt. I honestly think Hyatt needs to ride the wave of an amazing season to the draft. I also think we benefit more long term from him going high in the draft. It’s unlikely he replicates this season again.

I was actually thinking he would get 6 tuddies on Bama next year.

I agree with your synopsis, but I also don’t feel we’re entitled to know the details or inner workings of what happens in the locker room. But Heupel probably could have diffused it some even with a generic statement.

If you don't want speculation, don't piss away a playoff berth by getting humiliated by Beamer.

Yet was all over ESPN, every news network, and sold more jerseys than any other player in college - a damn shame he couldn’t make money off that then - and he’s the only player to have the best selling jersey for at least one day in 5 different uniforms.

But do tell more about society only valuing degenerates.
I believe he's more proof that society does only value degenerates.

But also don’t overlook the enormous success this season was and the reason the SC loss sucked ass so bad is because we EARNED the stakes that game brought. Before you can be the conversation, you have to get back in the conversation. I think we will be for years to come.

The issue with this is
1. you keep a starting LB home from a road game.

2. you don’t say why

3. You get absolutely dragged and lose.

4. Rumors start to fly about why and about fights in the locker room.

5. You still don’t say why.

Fans and media will run with this stuff if not addressed.

He can be pissed but he didn’t help the situation.

There are certain things that just don’t have to be said, and usually, it’s because you are protecting the player and not anyone else. There is no reason to suggest/explain/insinuate why because it could hurt Banks even more. He’s a players coach, and he will take the heat for his guys.

I'd say there's a good chance a primary reason banks didn't make that trip is because of the culture and standards that have been established, and if that is the case then he can be pissed and use that as a 'rally the troops' tool with the team. Sends maybe they did?

Anyway... Losing sucks and it's an awful way to learn a lesson... But if it was done as described above, I can't fault him.

You either have standards, or you don't.

Just bc I don’t find Mcquery 100% believable…. Does not mean that I trust Bradley…. Mcquery is far from a hero…. He supposedly reported him in 2001 but stayed working near the guy for the next ten years…. A guys rep shouldn’t be ruined by second hand info from someone as shady as Mcquery.
He admitted witnessing Sandusky assaulting a kid and doing nothing but reporting it to Paterno. Only coach other than Paterno to be unemployable afterwards. No one’s arguing for a hero statue to be commissioned but considering HIS rep was demolished, I’m skeptical that he randomly made up the secondhand story about Schiano. What pyramid schemes or fraud have you googled up on him. Heard nothing myself.

Heupel typically seems laid back and happy after wins. Seemed genuinely aggravated Sat. Was that aggravation directed primarily at national media or first signs of frustration with the bubble that is being UT’s coach?

I thought that was obvious. That does not help recruiting! And they know it. The same way they know they were helping Beamer by encouraging transfers to join him.

And fans and media didn’t help either. He and the team just came off a embarrassing loss. He doesn’t owe us a explanation on a rumored cat fight in the locker room. It’s his job to contain and control it. I trust he will, otherwise, why still coach here?

Coaches do not discuss these things. The national media such as KH would have never run with that story if it were Ohio State or AL. He had every right to be pissed with them making up stories about what goes on inside his locker room.
