We have 3 scholarship TEs, and possibly lose all 3 (1 is out of eligibility, 1 appears to not want to use his COVID year, and 1 hasn't really played at all and might hit the portal. We have a highly rated freshman coming in that missed his senior year with a torn ACL, and 2 walk-ons currently on the roster coming back. It's definitely the greatest position of need.

We also had an All-American LB and All-Conference Safety.
ALos a decent passrush.
We just weren't very deep.

Well the All conference safety WAS one of the true freshman. In 04 we did have two freshman corners and a safety who may have been 2nd team All American. Also admittedly that 07 D got torched some. They gave up 40 4/5 times back when that was an accomplishment.

Yes Eric Berry was that safety.

I'm just saying there was elite complimentary pieces on that defense along with the freshman Rogan and Vinson at CB
