I think you have to take a transfer QB if you get the chance. I like Joe and I applaud him for sticking it out and being a great teammate, but he’s shown nothing to this point to prove he’s the guy. How likely is it he improves enough going into next year? There’s no guarantee.

And Nico, while uber talented, will still be just a freshman. However, he is going to get some bowl practice in so he may be way ahead than most.

And let’s say Nico jumps Tayven Jackson in spring ball. You think Tayven is hanging around at that point? Doubtful. Then you’d only have two scholarship QBs. I’d take a transfer.
A transfer QB would be essential just from the standpoint of depth.. even if everyone felt extremely confident in JM. (I think he will probably do a great job), but as we have seen, injuries happen

Somehting I thought of over the weekend…..the hypocracy towards UT is unreal.

1. The USC has an expletive written on his fingers for four hours while our center fielder flips off for four seconds. The entire sports world came down on Beck and the baseball Vols.

2. UT debris incident vs Ole Miss last year vs Ole Miss debris throwing during the Egg Bowl. Again, the press blows up with us and not so much with OM. It will be interesting to see how the SEC deals with this.

3. The Schiano scenario vs (from what I have heard) similar scenario with GA Tech in their coaching search. We get hammered while nothing regarding GT.

Why?
We are the trend setters. The first to do it always gets the most criticism

Something that is happening in and around Nashville in the past few years are people moving here from California. We have a neighbor across the street that moved here last year from Palm Springs.....the one thing I told them is "Don't try and change anything, we don't need any of your ideas." They agreed and said that is why they moved here, to many new ideas back there.
