I haven't watched the recording of the Vandy game yet, but from the stands it looked like Joe definitely had a couple over throws, but altogether not that bad. The one to Hyatt down the visitor sideline (I believe it was right after they fumbled the fake punt, and the play just before Hyatt drew the DPI for getting tacked running a deep route), it looked to me and the folks around me like Hyatt slowed down a little while the ball was in the air, which caused it to be "over thrown".

I wouldn't be surprised if there are other dynamics for the receivers when catching throws from different QBs, such as trajectory of the ball, etc. Maybe Hyatt slowed down because he would have needed to on a similar throw from Hooker. If so, that gives me some extra hope for next year. If not, I don't think his over throwing issues can be fixed if they haven't been able to by now.

I thought the worst one was where Milton missed Fant wide open on the seam route. Again, I haven't seen the replay but that one left us speechless. Did he really miss that throw as bad as it seemed?

My thought was that seam route throw was a mix of Fant and Milton not being on the same page. Looked like Milton thought Fant would be coming across the formation more and Fant didn’t angle inwards and instead thought it was supposed to be more vertical. Not sure though.

What if they chose not to? How does he fix that? Speak harshly to them and threaten to take away their video game privilege? They have to do it. He can't.

I think there is more to the story. I simply can't believe that the same defense that shut down LSU, KY, and VU like that was completely unable to stop SCAR. And while I'm not a huge fan of TB, I'm not sure he was the reason we couldn't.
When you go back and watch the game...the lack of effort and focus by several defensive players jumps off of the screen at you....it was bad.

I really believe that it was a combination of several factors..

#1..Horrible gameplan that was based on the offense that SC had ran all year. It was understandable for our defensive staff to do that, but after UF basically did the same thing earlier this year, they should have known that it was possible SC would try it...they had nothing to lose.

#2..The staff obviously believed that Rattler could not beat them, once again based on the film, and Rattler decided to remember that he was once a Heisman contender and #1 draft pick because of his latent ability...the SC staff then threw away their whole playbook and crafted a simplified game plan designed to take advantage of his talents and...voila..he had the game of his career.

#3...About half of the defensive roster believed they could roll empty unis out there and Rattler would throw the ball everywhere but to his WRs...once again it was understandable to a degree if you had watched him on film missing guys by 10 feet on pass after pass after pass ALL YEAR LONG..

They were all dead wrong...I hope they learned the lesson well that they dearly bought by missing the opportunity of a lifetime. You have to prepare for every game as if the other SEC teams are going to come out on fire and throw everything they have at you.

I can't remember where I saw it, but Corso or Fowler said that the commercial was inspired by an actual experience that one of them or the crew had while in town for a game.

anyway, the fans throwing things at the gameday set, Peyton getting snubbed, and that commercial really sent the "ESPN Hates Us" thing into overdrive.
Just like the MothMan movie and Blair Witch Project were inspired by true events.

Jalin Hyatt needs 32 receiving yards to break the single season record. I hope he plays the bowl game and has a huge day to finish his UT career.

Love Tillman, and in his 6 games he put up some great numbers. But Hendo was almost too comfortable with him and would default to jump ball throws too often. The offense seemed to flow better when Tillman wasn't leading the team in targets oddly enough.

I hope Bru & Keyton both return I think they can each improve their draft stock with another season here and a full off-season working with Joe should have them both ready to go. I hope Walker is back, I think him and Joe got pretty good rapport already and feel like he could have a big year next year. Wouldn't surprise me even if his skillset allows him to start over Keyton or Squirrel even.

Sucks that Tillman ends his career with a bit of a "what if" though. Cause I fully believe had he remained healthy him and Hyatt both would have both been in the discussion for the best WR in the country award.

Which is why Hyatt needs to go pro.

Does anyone else get anxiety when Milton stands in the pocket like a statue? I’ve never seen such a flat footed quarterback. I just keep waiting for him to get decked and fumble.
He did that in the games he started last year. He's gonna get wrecked if he keeps that up.

The WR room is going to be one where we'll just have to get used to 1 or 2 years of production and new faces.

1. This offense will absolutely allow talented WRs to get numbers in bunches and leave early for the draft
2. WRs not getting to play within their first 2 years will potentially bail, especially if we continue the trend of taking portal guys and them becoming starters (like Velus, Payton, Bru)
3. Higher rated recruits will come, more 4/5 stars = less likely to work and wait for their shot like Tillman, Keyton and even Hyatt did
