IF TCU and USC both lose next weekend, then Ohio State and a one-loss TCU should be the last two teams in. A one-loss TCU is more deserving than a 2-loss Bama IMO. There is no legitimate reason for Bama to make the playoffs. I don't care who loses. IF they make it, it's totally on Bama bias and in no way based on merit.
Yep. Anyone arguing otherswise is talking crazy. Bama pundits are the only ones pushing them. Committee is not putting them in.

What is hard to understand about head to head?
I know it's the committee's fault for people thinking like this

But its inexcusable silly logic

Shame on the committee for valuing the way you lose over strength of schedule, strength of wins AND head to head.

It's partially a power ranking so it was understandable we dropped right after it looked like we collapsed.

But now that we flipped the script our 56-0 just doesn't flip the script? Made USCjr look like a one off. Clearly wasn't indicative of who we are. The one bad loss STILL outweighs what we showed in 11 other games?

That is faulty logic from the committee that people are parroting for no reason.

You know who doesn't think like that?

The NCAA tournament (except for us getting a 3 seed inexplicably) but even then they didn't value any loss we had over SOS, marquee wins and head to head. That's utterly stupid.

ESPN has been pushing the two-loss team making it narrative. Started with LSU, now it's Bama. I learned during the theft of Peyton's Heisman not to underestimate the influence of ESPN. I hope the committee does the right thing, but I'm not 100% convinced they will. If they try and sneak Bama in, ESPN will act as their mouthpiece in attempting to justify it. So the best outcome is really just to hope USC and TCU win.

Lol! Tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about lol
The "lol's" tell me all I need to know.

This is my fault, SAV. I should have never wasted my time, nor your's, replying to such in the first place. My mistake.

But! I just can't help myself. So...you're saying that with a TCU AND!!! USC loss, you don't think Bama is getting in? Is that what you're saying?

Need @LA Vol to really push Danny into politcing like he's never politiced before and push the Tennessee is better than bama truth. I wouldn't mind another Sugar Vols team

Milton’s passing issues were not wind related. Only one of his passes was actually affected by it. He has zero touch on his throws. I saw no improvement on his accuracy last night over the guy who lost his job to HH last year.
There is no way to know how his passing was affected by the weather conditions.

No, Beamer will just go get another transfer QB.
Those former 5* QBs that were largely considered Heisman favorites and first round draft picks AFTER a full year of college play don't grow on trees. Beamer will go after a transfer QB, but from a pure physical talent standpoint it will be hard to find another QB will the skillset Rattler has. The best transfer QBs are going to have a hard time trusting that those previous two games showed the offense they'll step into more so than the previous 10 games.

Let’s see TCU and USC take care of business and then it should be Clemson in the Orange Bowl (maybe too on-the-nose for anybody to pass up) or Penn State in the Sugar. Either would be awesome.
I said it at the time, if the powers of SEC had our back they would have scheduled our SC game at 11.
The only way they beat us is a night game.

Guarantee you if Alaeffingbama had been in same situation, it would have been an early game.
We were the only SEC team that closed the season against two SEC teams on the road also.

Yes. A one loss TCU is in. They are in the playoff no matter what happens next weekend. 1 > 2. It is UGA, Michigan, and TCU in the playoff already. It’s between USC and OSU for the fourth spot. No chance Bama or us makes the playoff.

Need to employ Vol Twitter. DW would probably join in. Politicking is done behind the scenes. Putting it in the public sphere puts more pressure on committee members to do the right thing. It holds them more accountable.

I doubt Rattler goes pro. What has he really done to improve his stock? With a hot finish to this season, my guess is he comes back hoping to carry it into next season.

Ok. We'll see. I hope you're right; and, that's absolutely what SHOULD happen, a one loss over a two loss, but...

If nothing else, I needed a good laugh this morning. TCU in over Bama, well...that's just funny. And I'M the one who doesn't know what I'm talking about.

OK, but don't underestimate Beamer's ability to attract a Milton or Hooker type guy and coach him up. He's a goofball but a better coach than we think.
