So, they beat 4 teams with winning records, and one of those is an FCS team.

If the committee takes an honest look at Bama's resume, they will see they don't belong above us in the rankings. It's football politics, tho. Bama gets a high rank based on being Bama. You shouldn't get to sail in on what you've done in the past. Every season is unique. And THIS season, Bama has NOT earned their ranking.

I've asked several people who hate Alabama and Tennessee equally if our head to head should put us above Bama. Every single one says "you can't get blown out by USC." I think the committee will feel the same way, especially now that Hooker is out. Fair or not, that's how it's going to be.

I know it sounds dumb, but if it came down to us or Bama, they are picking Bama solely for their QB.

In their mind, who brings more money/views Young or Milton? We both know the answer to that

JMO, but a two-loss team, ANY two-loss team, should only be the last option to make the playoffs. If USC loses their conference championship, Ohio State should be in. If USC and TCU BOTH lose their conference championships, I think a 1-loss TCU should still be in over a two-loss team. I'm just not a fan of a two-loss team making a 4-teamplayoff, even though I firmly believe we are the most deserving two-loss team.

Tell me again who Ohio State beat this year? Try to do so without laughing.

Our 3rd best win is better than some other’s top 2. UT is the best 10-2 team out there with the best wins and playing the toughest schedule. We can’t make a case over the unbeatens, or 1-loss USC. But if TCU and USC loses next week, we have the best resume to make some noise on the UT, Bama and OSU CFP debate.

With Carolina picking up that win over Clemson, that gives them 2 wins over top 10 teams and should shoot them up the polls. A loss to them should be less impactful and should leap frog us back over Bama. We will see how they decide to rank it.

South Carolina loss looks much better after yesterday and the LSU loss by bama looks worse after yesterday. We absolutely should be ahead of bama.

Isn’t every argument that Tennessee’s record is worse than Bama’s an argument that Bama’s loss to Tennessee is a bad loss?

How do we know what Bama would have done on the road in Athens and in Columbia? Those two teams were on fire when we caught them on the schedule. I’m not confident Bama would have faired better, especially since Bama couldn’t beat lowly Tennessee on the road.

This is false. They specifically state Strength of schedule, conference championships, and biggest wins. Our resume is 100% better than theirs and we beat them head to head. If the name on their jersey was Mississippi state, this wouldn’t even be a debate. We would be ranked higher than him.
