Bama's wins:

6-6 Utah State
8-4 Texas (even though they didn't really win)
4-8 ULM
5-7 Vandy
6-6 Arkansas
5-7 TAMU
8-4 Miss St
8-4 Ole Miss
7-4 Austin Peay
5-7 Auburn

So, they beat 4 teams with winning records, and one of those is an FCS team.

If the committee takes an honest look at Bama's resume, they will see they don't belong above us in the rankings. It's football politics, tho. Bama gets a high rank based on being Bama. You shouldn't get to sail in on what you've done in the past. Every season is unique. And THIS season, Bama has NOT earned their ranking.

With one loss, to the #2 team, Ohio State should be in if either TCU or, especially, USC lose next weekend. There is no logical way Bama should be in the playoffs. IF they somehow sneak in, that will be the most blatant showing of Bama bias and favoritism ever displayed, and ALL college football fans should speak up and protest.

I could be okay with losing a spot to Ohio State. That's somewhat understandable.

With one loss ehh I could get over it even though we have better wins

Interesting....

According to 247, Tennessee has 4 other in-state recruits already committed to us OV'ing next weekend with Arion Carter. Caleb Herring, Trevor Duncan, Nathan Robinson, and Ayden Bussell are all showed as OV'ing next week. Looks like maybe the coaches are hoping to use some peer recruiting. If so, I like it. Hopefully Arion Carter likes it. Would love to add him to this class.

A vanishingly small number. Even a lot of the ones I would have expected to know, don't.

There was actually a Twitter post a while back from when Danny White (iirc) name dropped Spyre and in that Twitter thread, the vast majority of people thought Spyre was some sort of fundraising initiative by the university itself and were salty that UT was "begging for their money".

Ranking teams on how they lose games as opposed to how they win them is a really odd way to look at things
