Hooker was not himself but it’s also hard to get in a rhythm when your drives are stalled with false start after false start.

I hate saying it but the OL let us down yesterday. UGA did what Pitt did but they had better players and Hooker did what he did vs Pitt and against UK and fixated on Tillman too much. I'm sure there's someone on here that knows what it is in terms of scheme or shifts or what have you but something happened in the trenches that was different/confusing for our guys. Yes, some crowd but more than that.

I'm more talking about the false starts early rather than the late game play. I think that was a combination of rain and just the way it was going. We gave UGA's D a greenlight by never establishing anything so the late game part, I understand. It's the early game pre-snap stuff.

Rushed 4 and played man with a spy/help deep. Hooker was mostly running out of time.

We really needed more draws, QB scrambles & quick passes (middle screens, slants) to take advantage. And even then it still would require patience and nickel & diming them until they make a mistake.

It appears that most polls have us at 5 so that is promising. They have made me eat crow with their selections and I gladly do in this case. We have GOT to look really good in these last 3 games and give the ones voting no excuses. This team can beat ANYBODY and hopefully our body of work so far and in the future proves it.

Loud stadium full of pissed off, challenged fans.

Our players couldn't hear the plays, snap count, routes, anything in the huddle. Players admitted as much.

Big game, big moment. Lots of nerves and excitement.

Georgia shifting the DL so much pre-snap threw us off repeatedly. They knew our OL couldn't hear the snap so our OL were often reacting to UGA moving all at once like the ball was snapped.

If I told you we'd be 8-1 at this point, but you get to pick the loss. . . would you leave everything how it has played out or would you swap a Bama win with the UGA loss?

I understand this is hypothetical but I think I would say yes. A win over UGA on the road would get us into the SECG and we would still control our destiny for the CFP.

Don't get me wrong. The win over bama was glorious and I am so grateful and thankful that it happened.

I would probably keep the same because I hate Bama more, BUT it’s probably better to swap to get division title and get to Atlanta

If we lost to Bama and beat UGA, we'd still have to win 3 PLUS the SECCG. About a 40% chance.

Instead we are left with an 86% chance of winning out and overall 64% chance of making the playoffs.

Give me the playoffs all day. Jmo. I've always been for "Beat Bama and lose to UGA" if we had had to go 1-1 between them. It simply gives us a better statistical chance to WIN IT ALL. Which is the whole point.

Yeah they are so insanely talented in the front 7 that they could keep 6 in the box essentially and let their DBs play man, where they are also insanely talented and (most importantly) well-coached.

No other team can play that same defense, honestly. *Maybe* OSU.

I see it differently...and it wasn't just two passes...there were several wide open ones not counting the Ced one...and on that one the DB was out front and freaking Hendon threw him the ball...if he throws it backshoulder, which he is supposed to do when the DB is in that position, then Ced could have caught it, knocked it down, or got DPI...that is why you see the backshoulder throw all the time when the DB in in that position...he f'n threw a bad pass....and he just straight missed f'n missed the other open passes....plus he could have gotten a lot of yardage running the ball if had taken off when he should have.

He is great and I love him for what he has done here, but he had a really bad game execution wise..if he had executed those open passes at his normal rate then the perception of everything to do with this game would be different.

**** UGA and if you worship those buttlickers so much go to their site and kiss their ass for them and tell them how f'n great they are, I am sure they would love to have you..

@jave36 I still say this LSU player has possession of the ball with two hands and the ground as a third point and his left knee was down. The play is over before the AL guy slaps it out of his hand: he didn't "touch" it. He slapped it out of a guys hand after he was down. If the LSU player had stood up and run for a TD, the refs would have called him down right where he is in this photo.

Nobody wants to play us except maybe Ga. I have watched most every team that is in the running and I really think we could beat all of them handily. I just hope we get the chance to find out when it counts the most.

PS: I was really bummed last night. I get it.

PPS: I'm still super thankful for the season this team has given us so far. Amazingly exceeded my expectation.

But we dust off, contextualize, and enjoy the rest of the season how it plays out.

My middle daughter asked me how I was doing after the loss yesterday. I said basically that it stinks to lose but we are still in a great spot and it has still been a great season with green grass in front of us. She said, "Wow! You are taking this better than I expected." In years past I would have been in a sour mood and let it affect my weekend. Yes it stinks to lose, but in the grand scheme of my life is it more important to show grace in defeat or teach that rough times should launch us into pity parties and shame spirals. People are always watching you to see how you react to adversity or even perceived adversity. I am grateful that I was able to demonstrate a positive reaction to a disappointment yesterday.

I honestly don’t think this 23’ class is near finished yet. IMO there will be a few 4 star recruits we end up getting we had no idea of landing. Alot to sell before the December signing day.

If it hadn't have been for the crowd and atmosphere, we would not have beaten Bama. They were discombobulated terribly most of the 1st half, and fought hard to play catch up and make it a game.

It was the same for UT at UGA. That atmosphere and bad breaks put UT out of their strengths. False starts kept us behind the chains and off schedule. Playing backed up to our EZ in that atmosphere... And we just didn't have it in us to fight back and overcome in the 2nd half.

I'd be interested to see how UT stacks up if we get a rematch on neutral field in playoff.

I think we have a 25% to win on a neutral field. We need to get better pressure on them and not be porous in the secondary. I just don't know if we have the defensive personnel yet. That said, give Heupel a rematch and the opportunity to scheme them a second time and who knows what can happen. We had chances to keep it close in Athens.
