Beat thing to do now is only watch the vols play on Saturday for the rest of the season
No reason to listen to the talking heads bc they are probably wrong and bias
Tennessee should be number 4 this week regardless and should win out putting them in no matter what
11-1 is an awesome year, best one since who knows with the players we have
Can’t wait to watch them in the playoffs or the sugar or orange bowl
YupI’m most worried about Mizzou. Decent defense and if we have a hangover and struggle on offense it could be tight.
They played pissed and we played scared. It happens some times when you play a good team.Rough day yesterday guys/gals. We def got taken to the Train station.
Mistake after mistake, we just looked overmatched in every way.
Gotta just take it week to week from here on out and I think we still get to the playoffs.
Cannot look past Mizzo or SC
Regarding your first statement, my hubby said the exact same thing yesterday..He also said what need to happen last night with Clemson and Bama both losing needed to happen to swing us in the think of the playoff hunt.I think yesterday was a blessing in disguise.
There is still some hardware available for some players on this team. And, a very special season, that was wildly unexpected.
This is exactly the order it will be. Once Michigan loses to OSU or TCU loses, we get back into the top four. They do not move teams out unless they lose. As long as we handle our last three teams (we will), we are in the playoff. Anyone worried about one loss pac 12 or one loss ACC champion are crazy. We have seen how the committee views those teams.
Win out and we are in the playoff. It really is that simple since Bama and Clemson lost.
Marrow loves his 42nd ranked recruiting class lol
The second one really pissed me off! I continued to argue as the game progressed..it’s unfair to the guy that initially recovered it.There were two calls yesterday that just stunk. The Mizzou/UK/punter incident was the first one. The ball was live. Had Mizzou recovered it they would have taken possession. That the punter was able to recover it and punt it was lucky for them, but no way should that be roughing to tackle a guy recovering a loose ball in that situation. So ridiculous.
The other was the fumble that LSU recovered. That the Bama guy was out of bounds and touched it after the LSU guy had it in his hands, should not negate the LSU recovery. It should rule the Bama guy out as to being able to recover it. LSU made a great play causing a fumble and recovering it, then gets punished and it taken away by the guy who made the bad play with the fumble. Another great big stupid.
I am okay with this. And there is a strong preference for SEC teams - harder schedule, traveling fans, greater excitement and revenue. There are too many variables to predict what the committee is going to do or how the final rankings will stack up. The next ranking means nothing with so many games left to play, but it’ll be interesting.
Vols can only control how they play the next three games. For some committee members, a 12-1 conference champ that finishes strong will edge out an 11-1 team that didn’t advance to the conference championship game, especially if it results in a more desirable CFP matchup. In the end, there’s considerable leeway in applying metrics, which allows subjectivity in finding exciting matchups that boost ratings and drive revenue.
