You can blah blah blah all you want, but it's the truth. Hooker didn't have anyone to get the ball out to quick on most of those blitzes. Hyatt was in the slot and had multiple opportunities to be wide open on a slant and instead was running downfield. That game plan works great against teams that don't have the talent to hang with the receivers in man, but UGA's defense is good enough that you have to take what's there and not force the issue. I'm not down on Heupel, Hooker, or anyone else at all...I'm just saying that UGA left some openings and I don't see UT not taking advantage of that in a rematch. I'm really optimistic that this offense is going to be completely ready in a rematch because UGA showed their hand and it would be foolish of Kirby Smart to do anything different the next time.
I may be wrong, but I thought the middle of the field looked open all night as hard as they were blitzing?! Slants, TE seam, and underneath stuff was there iirc.

Conference championship games are almost starting to hurt us. No game and we finish conference regular season runner-up. Add an expanded playoff.

When we go to the Pod system, I don't see how the SECCG makes sense anymore. Unless it is just #1 and #2 in the conference play for it. No more East and West.

Watched All Quiet On the Western Front after I seent us kicking FGs.

That said, the other games yesterday were great for us. The West won't get a team in. Clemson is out. OSU looked bad and either them or Michigan have to lose to one another.

It feels like our avenue to making it in is still very very alive. Just win out.

Maybe. I will say if we end up in one of the playoff games the environment will be different than it was yesterday which I think was one of the bigger reasons we played the way we did. OSU is definitely good but we wouldn't be playing them in a totally hostile place
That is true...as we go forward through the years, the team will get used to situations like that I think and learn to shrug it off better.

Also...if Hooker had just hit one if those deep open shots I think the team would have relaxed a little, and the crowd would have been shut up a little.

Also..that crazy punt was a catalyst for everything...that is a 1 in a 1000 pure luck play.

All that notwithstanding...if Hooker just hits the open plays it is a completely different ballgame.

You can ignore what I said but it is also the absolute truth..so..

Blah blah blah...

I do agree with you though...we should have run plays into the vacated spots..lol.

Playoff chances for Tennessee actually went up lol. 60% entering yesterday per ESPN metrics. 64% now..

Also...for all their players that can "hang with us in man"...there were still wide open, game breaking, defense busting plays to be made.

Georgia still probably wins if we hit those plays. But like you were saying. It makes everyone feel a bit better putting 30 on the board than it would only 13 feeling like they were the great wall of china defense

Maybe jumping the gun, but did our offense have better rhythm with the Hyatt-Bru-Keyton rotation? Yesterday felt like 2nd half Pitt offense, from what I seent anyway.
I did have that thought too. Feel like we force too much to Tillman some times.

Let the media talk. There is still three weeks left and everything will work itself out. LSU can’t beat UGA. Got lucky to play Bama at night in Death Valley. And got away with a pick play.

We win out and TCU drops one (most likely this week) and we are in. It’s that simple.

If they win in that scenario it is because of their offense beating our undermanned defense, not because of our offense sputtering out. That would look and feel a lot different.

We all know that the defense is our Achilles heel and would probably be why we couldn't win a championship this year.
