I’d be a little concerned if we weren’t at home on senior day. A lot of guys are going to want to ball out for their final home game.
Hope you're right, I feel like the emotions of senior day always seem to result in a slow start. But I'm basing that off previous coaches - especially Fulmer. Can't remember how team handled it last year.

So guys...if we can get back to face UGA again...now that we know what they will do, what is the gameplan to defeat that defense...plus we have to stop their offense better.
I mean the first and easiest thing to fix is not false starting 7 times. That is a great place to start.

I think Oregon as a 1 loss conference champion would get in above us.

I don't think a 1 loss Big 12 champion or 1 loss ACC champion gets in over us.
Why do y’all think a loss Oregon gets in over us when we have played a common opponent, and they were beat by 32 more points than us on a neutral field??? I don’t get this thinking.

As a fanbase we need to do hopefully what our team does today…flush yesterday down the toilet, snap and clear, refocus on the big picture, and get ready to destroy Mizzou. Every game we have left will be like a NC game for our opponent, and each one of them would love nothing more than to knock us out of the playoff discussion. Learn from yesterday, and let’s get back to the kind of football that got us to #1. Win out, and we should hopefully be in.

I think yesterday was a blessing in disguise.

There is still some hardware available for some players on this team. And, a very special season, that was wildly unexpected.

I'm not taking anything away from Georgia, but in a game of this magnitude you can't do things to beat yourself. We did things to beat ourselves all day. You can't have 3rd and 2 near the red zone and have 2 consecutive false starts against a defense like this. That's just one example. We continually shot ourselves in the foot. I stated in another thread, that I'm extremely proud of these boys. Georgia came to play, but we had too many self-inflicted wounds. I'm also not dogging our guys. It was just a bad day at the office.
their defense is legit.

UGA will win the SEC championship against LSU.

Ole Miss and Bama play next week, so one of those gets knocked out. LSU still has to play Arkansas and A&M, away. So either Ole Miss or LSU will lose in the ship.

Clemson lost last night. They will probably need to lose to UNC in the championship as well. If they win the ACC, they jump us.

OSU/Michigan, whoever loses this game is out.

TCU still has to play at Texas and Baylor back to back, and away games.

Here’s the other thing…go out and take care of business the next 3 weeks and that leaves us 11-1 with wins over 2 of our 3 biggest rivals, and a shellacking on the road at LSU. IF IF IF we get screwed over and left out of the playoffs (which I don’t think we will at 11-1 with our resume), we still play in the sugar bowl. In year 2 under Heupel after all we have endured the last 15 years, that is a MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENT! As bummed as we would be to not make the playoffs, hindsight would be that is an unbelievable season and should be celebrated. Let’s breath and take care of business our next 3 games. We still have an elite team and coaching staff, so just win out baby.

Clemson is out. Doesn’t matter if they win ACC or not

The middle of the field was open A LOT! We need to take what they give and don’t force the ball. Would be nice to see us release the RB to that area and throw it to him. Or maybe call a RB screen for a change. Do that a few times and that would slow the blitz and pull the safeties up from protecting the deep ball.

I think you’re going to be sorely disappointed to learn that if Oregon runs the table and is a 1-loss conference champ and we’re 1-loss non-division winner then Oregon is in. Even if they aren’t the better team.
If that’s the case, then why have a playoff committee? It’s in place to pick the 4 BEST TEAMS based on resume, SOS, etc. When you have a common opponent that is your same loss, it helps even more! The criteria isn’t to pick the 4 best conference champions…it’s the 4 best teams. End of story. They have picked the 4 best teams since its inception with conference champions playing little role in those selections. I’m sure when we are involved everything will change, but until that happens, I’ll stick with how they have chosen teams in the past.

TCU has trailed in so many games, I think Texas will beat TCU. Louisville will give Clemson a game. Michigan should handle OSU.
