Anybody thinking about storming the field better do it. Saban's complaints did not go unheard. Sankey has already expressed his displeasure to ADs and is moving to force schools to revise policy to prevent incidents involving on-field access. Bama's AD is on the working committee; DW is not.

Sankey's solution mirrors Saban's-- don't hold angry players accountable for hitting fans; force schools to overhaul their security protocols and game management plans to prevent happy students from getting in the players' way. UT is, unsurprisingly, the poster program for this. I'm sure fan-instigated trash throwing will be written into the new protocols, as well.

It's hard not to despise Saban and Alabama.
**** that midget

I know TLDR.

I heard this week that if Tennessee was to win the National Championship this year, that would be 4 difference teams from the SEC that has won it over the past 4 years. That is incredible. So that led me down the path of what other conference could even do that. Currently I believe there is none, but you can usually see what conferences could accomplish this feat in the future by looking at the past. For the most part since 1970 there are only 5 conferences and some independents that have won a National Championship. The ACC, BIG10, BIG12, PAC10 & the SEC. Of those conferences, who has had 4 different members win a NC? I looked at what conference the team is currently in and not where they were when they won the NC. Since 1970 only 2 other conferences have had at least 4 members win a NC. The BIG10 (Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Nebraska) and the ACC (Florida State, Miami, Georgia Tech, Pitt & Clemson). I digress, If you took Nebraska out of the BIG10 discussion it would only be 3 from that conference. Nebraska has not won one since joining the BIG10. So in theory, the only other 2 conferences that could possibly pull off this feat are the BIG10 and the ACC. Now currently that seems like a distinct impossibility.

Other facts. The SEC has had 6 members since 1970 to win a NC (Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Florida & Auburn). In those 52 NC's the SEC has won or at least shared in 20 of those NC's. The PAC10 has had 3 members win a NC since 1970 (Southern Cal, Colorado & Washington). The BIG12 has had only 2 current members win a NC (Texas and Oklahoma).

My opinion based on future conference structure:

ACC best case scenario is 3. FSU and Miami would have to get it together for it to be possible as well, as I don’t think anyone else besides Clemson is a viable candidate.

Big 12 could have a pop from the remaining Texas schools and perhaps Oklahoma State. That theoretically is 4 possible teams, but Texas Tech is well behind Baylor and TCU currently.

Big 10 is very possible. OSU, Michigan, USC, UCLA, and Penn St all have the capability.

PAC-12 has no chance. Oregon will be the only true viable candidate after the LA schools leave. Utah once in a blue moon could do it, but never sustainably.

Could easily see this being a worse solution than standing by and letting excited/happy people celebrate. A few overzealous people in the stands or as part of the security team and you have an ugly scene vs a celebration.

Just my opinion but I think every game we have played we have gotten the better of the officials- not all the calls go our way but I think the majority have.

That’s pretty neat.

I actually agree with you. My theory is that officials favor the favorite and always have/will. It's not conscious/intentional but it's there. My worry is that means they will favor UGA at home tomorrow. Hopefully it will be evenly called though because both teams are so highly rated.

Alabama was the favorite and they're fans are still crying about the backdooring the refs gave them.

I agree with favoring the one they think has the best shot to win it all. Hopefully tomorrow they stay out of it and let the players decide.

I think this is true, but for the home team, not favored. There will be a couple of bogus calls go against us Saturday, just got to prepare for it.

Oregon will most likely join the Big 10 as well.

Unless their interest is money.
Any SEC team can make the same money simply by winning. Georgia brought the money last year. We could be the ones bringing the money this year. Bama is not alone in filling the conference coffers. It's past time they stopped getting preferential treatment.
