I've had my crow, being epically wrong about Pruitt, the head coach; but, I'd take him in a heartbeat as a DC...as Saban will, the exact moment he has the chance.
My birthday today. Going out having some seafood and bourbon tonight with homemade cheesecake for dessert later. Have tomorrow and Friday off, picking my daughter up from school early on Friday and heading to Knoxville to watch Kentucky get whooped on Saturday night. Going to be a great weekend.
Cottonmouths have the visual acuity of about 12". They don't know what boats are, have terrible vision, and have no ears to hear talking (or screaming). They recognize an object floating in the water, and they like to bask on floating objects. They also associate those things as places fish and frogs like to hang out around. They have very strong senses of smell and could possibly investigate smells of bait or fish you've caught.
They're also inquisitive, so they'll investigate objects they don't recognize. I've stood on a bank and watched one swim directly towards me. Most would conclude that snake was "after" them. When it got close enough to make out what I was it bolted away and hid under a matte of grass.
It's all about perception and having a better understanding of these very misunderstood animals. They're never after you. But instinctual fear and lack of knowledge drives perception.
You have to look at it a different way. Look at UF, let’s be honest they are not good. They are what the 4th best team in the East? They have a new head coach and staff. But look at us. Undefeated, ranked top 3 and we are still being out recruited by UF. Now you can say that UF has an advantage over us because of the state but that’s iffy at best. One would think that seeing us beat Bama and destroy a good LSU team that we would be seeing a pretty good influx of high rated players. But so far it’s not happening.
Hopefully we can jump them by NSD but as of right now they are ahead of us and it’s strange.
We are also getting Lang who the staff is high on….. the safety from Georgia that Bama wants if we decide to take him…. Recruiting has went well…. Running back recruiting is really the only area where we have struggled a little bit.Are you just ignoring Hobbs who is a five star defensive lineman in which we are going to beat out Bama, Georgia, and Ohio state?
That stupid yell leader garbage is pure gayness...it is freaking weird.
You shouldn’t judge a season based on pre-season predictions bc so many variables are unknown…. If we lose 4 of the last 5…. The overwhelming majority would consider this season a failure.Still disagree, as the season as the whole would still be on par with a successful season. Not talking "from here" just the entire season like Enki was saying from the start..
Or look at the inverse - what if we started 0-7? At that point, even 1 or 2 wins would be a good finish. Now imagine we won our last 5 games. Amazing! Does that make going 5-7 in Y2 a GOOD season?
Talking full seasons, not endings.
I think they’ll cover (*barely*) in a garbage TD at the end. I think it’ll feel like the LSU game a bit but they’ll close the gap in the 4th but we’ll still win 38 - 27. I do think they’ll be able to slow us down at times.UK cover has been popular all week. People think the game will be similar to last year.
I am simply saying that 8-4 would still be a success, just like it wouldve been in preseason. So you would rather have wins over SC & Mizzou instead of the wins we have, to preserve "momentum."
We're not losing 4 of the next 5, but the season will still be an overall success if we did, based on preseason expectations. . . unless, in the preseason you expected 10+ wins.
The issue would be the potential losses to SC & Mizzou. We expected to beat them in the preseason as well, so losing to them would be disappointing. It wouldn't change the fact we got to the # of wins that was thought to be the marker for success.
We should be very picky with a the runningback that we take. We don’t lose any running backs after this season so we can afford that. We need a game changing back and we can always portal shop later. We are also getting Lang who the staff is high on….. the safety from Georgia that Bama wants if we decide to take him…. Recruiting has went well…. Running back recruiting is really the only area where we have struggled a little bit.
So, where were your expectations in the preseason?
Calling the season a success at 8-4 preseason, but not now, means you would be trading Alabama & UF or Pitt, for wins over SC & Mizzou or Kentucky.
We need to hit on 2-3 Bru McCoy, Jahmyr Gibbs, Zach Evans level transfersHow many real difference makers enter the portal? How many schools will be trying to snag them? I'm just not as convinced as some that the portal will be a magic cure-all. I certainly hope it is, I just don't have faith that it will be.
I agree…. I 100% trust this staff…. Don’t think recruiting is an issue…. They will get what they need to be very successful. We should be very picky with a the runningback that we take. We don’t lose any running backs after this season so we can afford that. We need a game changing back and we can always portal shop later.
I feel it's successful at 7-0. Yes, already excited about next year, irregardless of what happens the rest of the year. I don't think we lose a game in the regular season. If that happens, I don't think we lose in the post-season either!15-0where it’s always been.
Let’s turn your narrative around. Will you feel the season is successful at 15-0or will you be worried about next year?

When I have milder back pain now (in the same area as when I had that episode), I usually just load up on Advil since it's anti-inflammatory, and that usually keeps it manageable while I get through it.We think it's muscle too. Because when she used a heating pad it actually made it worse and looking online, that indicates muscle. Her pain is in her lower back, likely stemming from her glute or hamstring.
What relaxer did you use? Do you know if there's an over-the-counter version?
