Of course we can beat Georgia. Their defense might be a little better than Bama but their offense isn’t nearly as good as Bama’s with Bryce Young healthy like Tennessee faced. It’s on the road but I’m expecting Tennessee to win that game and go 12-0 in the regular season.A bunch of coaches think we can beat UGA? Very interesting.
As far as the final record for the year, I didn’t enjoy a lot of the 90s for worrying about the next game or final season record. I am really trying to enjoy every little moment right now. My worrying is not going to change anything anyway. So right now I am ecstatic that we beat FL and AL in the same season along with how awesome our offense is playing plus having a serious Heisman candidate. What happens the rest of the season is not going to take that away from me. It’s a whole lot more fun this way.
I didn’t want to freak out the youngsters. All us really old VFLs start anew every time we hit 100…

No...it wouldn't at this point. Pre-season expectations were based on what we "thought" this roster could do...now we "know" what it can do.Yes. It would. Beat UF, beat LSU, beat Bama, beat Pitt. That alone is grounds for a successful season based on pre-season ideas and where we're coming from with the roster we have.
Has any win really been far even as decided to lose even go want to do look more like?
This ain't pre-season. It would be looked at just like 2016...a complete and embarrassing failure. The media and rival staffs would slaughter us, and destroy recruiting just like they did after 2016.So if we were to go 8-4, you'd rather have wins over Mizzou & SC than UF & Bama?. Preseason, 8-4 would be considered a success.
Like it or not...the team literally moved those goalposts themselves. I was one of the guys constantly trying to temper expactations pre-season, but are wrong on this one. That would now be a horrible failure and yes it would discount those wins to lose to the dregs of the SEC after we have seen what this team can do.Arguing it because of how people move the goal posts. Anyone wouldve said "I dont care how we get there, 8-4 would be a success." Now, after we've achieved more than expected, it's no longer a success. Bologna. It would suck to lose any games, but calling it a failure would discount the wins over Pitt, Florida, Alabama, LSU.
No Tennessee fan on the planet would've called 8-4, with wins over Pitt, UF, LSU, and Bama a failure preseason. In fact, I'd bet any fan would've begged for those results.
And I don't see how you can think it "odd" for those expectations to be blown out of the water. So the wins over Mizzou, SC, Candy, are more valuable than the wins over Bama, LSU, UF, Pitt?
I was fairly certain anyone would take an 8-4 season with wins over LSU, Pitt, Florida, and Bama. We are not losing another game this season, I'm fairly certain. However, if we finished 8-4 I would still be happy with the season for what it is, year 2, and the roster we have. Sure, I'd be disappointed with the finish, but I can't discount the wins. It's all assumptions and if this team somehow goes 8-4, then something terrible (injuries, etc) must've happened to account for it.
Either way, I'm not dying on a hill telling people what they should be happy with. Just stating I think it's. . . odd. . . how people can change expectations so easily.
