Hooker processes everything at an extremely high level. He calls his own pass protections on the fly, from play to play.

Hooker stays extremely calm, like it's no big deal to have a minute on the clock and need to go the length of the field.
I think this is the most impressive. We don’t know half the stuff that HH is responsible for and calling at the line.

He always seems in control.

He processes information at a blazing speed and always throws to the right place and normally extremely accurately.

Cannot be overstated enough and it comes from his head coach, who's played the position....and also keeps his composure. HH is a joy to watch play,

Halzle listed off all the stuff he's responsible for, but I couldn't type fast enough and my memory sucks. He's basically in control of absolutely everything after the play call. He has to be, in order to run at a high pace. He very rarely makes a mistake on his reads and calls.

This game makes me nervous...I hope the team comes out intense and pissed off, because Kentucky sure as hell is going to come out swinging and pissed off. They want our scalp...bad..to make up for all the rest of this season of disappointment.

If we match that anger and intensity, we should beat the piss out of them, but if not..they could ruin everything.

People in the ff changing pre-season expectations now. No longer is 8-4 a successful season. It has to be 11-1 or 12-0 to be considered a success.

I'd hate to go 8-4 at this point, but this season would still be a great success if that happened.
No…. It wouldn’t bc that would mean that we would have lost to four of kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina, Missouri, and Vanderbilt.

I totally understand what you are saying.

But to get to 4 losses we would have to lose to Kentucky, Georgia, South Carolina and Mizzou.

There is just no way I can swallow that pill at the end and be happy.

Still successful in what we had going and how we overcame some historical obstacles.

But that would suck. Bad.

Good news: it ain’t happening.

I don’t think we lose a game.

15-0. For real.

A lot of that is bc it is very hard for other teams to hide coverages…. They have to show what they are going to do pre-snap.

I don’t think we lose a game. Not with the way the Vols are playing.

Yes. It would. Beat UF, beat LSU, beat Bama, beat Pitt. That alone is grounds for a successful season based on pre-season ideas and where we're coming from with the roster we have.

I'm sure it won't happen. But in the bigger picture, 8-4 would still be a success with the wins we have. We're not losing a game this year, but even if we finish 8-4, it would still be a success for y2.

I mean, if we were 8-4, would you rather it be with wins over SC & Mizzou or Florida and Alabama?

It would completely ruin the start we had…. Just like 2016 is tainted bc we lost to South Carolina and Vandy after our hot start. I don’t think that is going to happen though.

My birthday today. Going out having some seafood and bourbon tonight with homemade cheesecake for dessert later. Have tomorrow and Friday off, picking my daughter up from school early on Friday and heading to Knoxville to watch Kentucky get whooped on Saturday night. Going to be a great weekend.
Happy Birthday Brother
