I think that was Enki's point. Rewriting expectations.

I see his point. It's STILL year two of the rebuild, playing with the roster we had to start the year. It's STILL a wonder of a coaching job. The accomplishments are STILL almost unthinkable, whether we lose out from here or not.

Also I don't think this team goes 8-4, 10-2 could still happen though...I'm honestly on cloud 9 and will deal with however we finish, we're 7-0 and beat Florida & Bama in the same season for the first time since '98 I think. We can win our next 5 games. We should win 4 of our next 5 games. I'm not worried about Vandy or Missouri, they don't have good enough offenses OR defenses.

Kentucky has a good defense, Georgia has a great team, South Carolina appears to have a solid defense and outside the two early loses to Arkansas and Georgia haven't given up more than 24 to any opponent. So they've obviously figured some things out and gotten better. They have also scored at least 24 in every game except Georgia so to me they seem to be a better team overall than Kentucky (and beat them head to head). Don't think we should lose that game, but we've got some games to play before we get there so really hope we stay healthy.

Just to chime in on expectations.........I look at it in terms of floor and ceiling. At this point 10-2 should be the absolute floor 12-0 the ceiling.

Before the season I would have told you 9-10 wins was the ceiling. As I said before the LSU game, no matter what happens from here out we are ahead of schedule..... Way ahead of schedule. We are a contender, no one takes this game for granted. This was a four to five year rebuild by all accounts and this coach, this staff, these players have completely moved the goalposts. This offense is fun, and extremely productive. The defense, once we get a few pieces on the backend will eventually be better, and better equipped to compliment the offense. That's the crazy thing, we are humming along like this with cylinder missfire. Once this staff tunes this up a bit it could be even better.

Take all my chips....... I'm all in!

I didn't sleep well. Probably gonna be off my game all day. Just setting realistic expectations for the level of juvenile humor I will be bringing in here today. I appreciate Byron picking up my slack.
