I love our alts, especially these we're about to wear Sat night, and I'd like to see others...I would like to eventually see an orange facemask, on the black helmets, maybe even on the white, just to see what it would look like...

With that said, I don't want us to lose our identity, though, you know...have so many, and changing it up ALL THE TIME. There's some schools now that change it up so often, from week to week, year to year, I don't even know who they are anymore. I literally have to look at the score on screen to know sometimes. Yeah, it's expected at Oregon (btw, those they wore this past weekend were ugly as hell); but, I don't even know what South Carolina's standard helmet looks like anymore, or Kentucky's. Many others, as well.

I don't believe A&M is that bad, they just suck a BIG ONE at the one position you can't afford to suck a BIG ONE at. I'm not saying Jimbo's O is world beating, idk; however, i do know they are absolutely atrocious at the QB position.

Arguing it because of how people move the goal posts. Anyone wouldve said "I dont care how we get there, 8-4 would be a success." Now, after we've achieved more than expected, it's no longer a success. Bologna. It would suck to lose any games, but calling it a failure would discount the wins over Pitt, Florida, Alabama, LSU.

No Tennessee fan on the planet would've called 8-4, with wins over Pitt, UF, LSU, and Bama a failure preseason. In fact, I'd bet any fan would've begged for those results.

I have to disagree. I think every player and coach on the team would say it's extremely disappointing to finish like that. As people have said, expectations evolve with new data. We have new data.

People in the ff changing pre-season expectations now. No longer is 8-4 a successful season. It has to be 11-1 or 12-0 to be considered a success.

I'd hate to go 8-4 at this point, but this season would still be a great success if that happened.

But..If you think about it as a 5 game season now...then yeah 1-4 from this point would be really bad.
