I just messaged Lacey Pearl Earps on facebook and she said that she doesnt know what he is going to do. I feel a divorce coming soon. lol

dude i dont care if he chucks logs at old people during recruit visits as long as we land them and it isnt a violation...but seriously im not seeing brown playing at UT anymore. LSU will impress him imo

what if clk just really loves throwing pecan log's into traffic and does it on every recruits visit?

Dickey brought us running through the T. Battle brought us huge posters with a blindfold on our head coach hanging from UT buildings. Majors brought us bumper stickers about making Major mistakes. Fulmer brought us more opportunity to use Photoshop with donuts more often than anyone could have ever imagined.

CLK may bring us the pecan log roll tradition on the Gatlinburg Lane Train Express.

I'm surprised we haven't seen any Photoshop work on this one yet.

Funny, I talked to her for a while today. She seemed really cool and was pretty darn funny. I sensed a quiet confidence when she talked about Bryce's decision. Only time will tell.

I bet she's not going to 'kiss and tell' on this one guys. From what's been posted, it sounds like they actually do have a thing for one another.

Butler's role has been minimized by BB's dad. Take Butler out, and basically, you have a stud athlete left who will make a difference on whatever team is fortunate enough to get him.

It's been posted already, by me and others, but BB didn't have a good relationship with his HS coach, needed help with the decision, and sought help from Butler. Butler was a logical choice since he had helped Arthur Jr. However, Butler had not made the complete mockery of himself with Arthur Jr., so Arthur Sr. trusted him with BB. After it got out of control, BB's dad came back to the plate. And, that's where we are today.

The Brown family will make this decision, not Butler.

Let's hope it's for the Vols. The Butler stronghold on BB is already over.

this is what i am hearing in wichita...well said.

she prob has an idea what he is thinking but she isn't putting pressure on him... she wouldnt tell any random person either. kinda weird to me that everyone is facebooking her. Im not sure everyone realizes that just creeps people out when random people facebook you especially if it is someone you don't know.

Thanks, Preacher. That whole view resonates true to me and I appreciate your sharing earlier.

BB has made it through a media circus that got out of control. Yet, it seems that all he's trying to do is make the right decision. There's more to it than picking a football team, and I understand that. I've already posted on why I think UT's right in that regard. But, I think Knoxville as a community has a lot to offer as well.

The folks in Knoxville will take care of him if he gives them the chance. UT fans love their Vols and will stand by them. Knoxville is a world apart from Miami and Baton Rouge.

Miami has some serious crime problems (and they've touched the Canes at times), but Randy Shannon has made great progress in dealing with those and keeping his players safer. Baton Rouge is Cajun country. There's nothing wrong with that, but it's a far cry from Kansas.

Knoxville is not a bad option when all things are considered. It is in the Bible belt. Southern versus the Midwest (still Christian, but more Protestants than Catholics), but still people with strong values and respect for others (as long as they're not Gators or Bammers). :)

I don't know if you were around Knoxville years ago or if you knew Reggie. They probably don't have all the same views, but BB makes me think of Reggie from a superplayer-with-a-relentless-spiritual-calling perspective.

My views are mostly based on trying to understand BB, in spite of the media's coverage, but I think this whole circus has totally misrepresented him. That damage to his image won't matter so much down the road as he'll get plenty of time to correct it. He seems to be of strong faith, so he'll get through all of these challenges and be fine. I'm sure he's even more anxious to get this decision behind him than we are.

Godspeed to him, whatever he decides.

Lol - I wonder how many people have message the poor girl ever since her facebook page was linked on this website (and I'm sure other VN ones) to find out any info on BB.

Maybe someone shuld try to make a move on the girl, be in a official "facebook" relationship and say youe going to UT next year. Maybe BB will get jealous and want to go to to UT to make sure no one steals his girl..........

Hey you never know, nothing else has worked....

Don't give some of these quacks around here any crazy ideas!!....We will have logroll threads out the wazoo!!!

I just heard that Lsu has a few of its old players in town from the NFL to talk to Bryce Brown not sure if this is true but it was from a buisness owner who I talk with who lives in Baton Rouge. He told me that Joseph Addai was in town from the Colts and is going to be on campus working out this weekend. Also Charles Scott the Big RB, Rueben Randle and Shepard will be his co-host. Hopefully we do not wake up Monday morning and hear that Bryce Brown has schedule a press conference. I still think there a 60 percent chance he goes to Maimi.

Isn't it a violation to have pro players meet with recruits? I could be wrong on that...

Anyway, I didn't see this posted here. New development: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/27/sports/ncaafootball/27recruit.html?_r=2&ref=ncaafootball

I think UTMBA made some stellar points in his previous post that the Brown / Butler relationship may have somewhat soured of late, and wonder if the trip to Miami is Arthur Sr.'s way of trying to repair whatever damage he might have caused between them. Arthur Sr. has been vocal from the outset that he respects Coach Shannon, and wants Bryce to attend Miami. Further, he even sort of defended him with his latest comments, saying that he didn't blame him, and that this (Bryce's recruitment) had turned into more than anyone had imagined.

To me, it's a pretty strong statement that he's driving him down to Miami from Wichita, seemingly, with his hat somewhat in his hand. If that is the reason for the visit, I don't care what has happened or has been said, Miami will welcome him with open arms if he wants to sign this weekend, or thereafter, and all that has happened along the way will be quickly forgiven and long forgotten.

I actually don't intend this to sound as a slight toward LSU - because if Miami and USC are truly "out", they would become the next biggest player who could sign him - but has anyone considered that they may only be visiting Baton Rouge because it's along the way to Miami? If I were driving from Wichita to Miami, I wouldn't mind stopping in Baton Rouge to be wined and dined for a couple of days before heading on - and if I am LSU, I welcome the #1 recruit in the country to do so. Again, not to slight LSU or devalue the meaning of the visit, but I wonder if they get a visit this weekend had their campus been west of Wichita, rather than on the way to Miami.

Just a quick thought.

Well-stated... Miami is my biggest concern and you've really put your finger on some of the reasons why. Also, if BB goes there, his brother wouldn't have to delay/transfer, and the family stays together. There's been a lot of talk about Arthur Jr.s' unhappiness at Miami, but if they patch that up, BB dad's is going to want those guys playing together. And, while Butler matters less, dad matters a lot more now. Arthur Jr. and his views may be the key to getting BB.

I've asked, but does anyone know if we've shown any interest in Arthur Jr.? Maybe he's only interested in LSU, but how could a LB not be interested in playing for our staff? Do Kiffin and Company just not want him since we're already stacked on D?

Gonna be raining in Baton Rouge this weekend. If I see Bryce, I'll tell him it rains all the time here.

Would you mind doing that in an LSU jersey after eating hundreds of corndogs and not showering for a week? Be sure to keep the corndog batter between your teeth.

There seems to be conflicting reports and I don't know what to believe anymore.I am almost done with this.

Since Miami begins spring practice today, let's start in Coral Gables. In regards to this story about the possibility of Bryce Brown not visiting Miami, let's get something clear: Miami is no longer interested in Brown. It's over, done. A source at Miami has confirmed this for me, which is why it's no surprise LSU is suddenly in the picture for that last visit.
