I know this was mentioned, but this is just in the last day or two. These are Bryce Browns latest friends on Facebook:

Bryce L Brown and Chris Scott are now friends.
Bryce L Brown and Aaron Douglas are now friends.
Bryce L Brown and Cody Pope are now friends.
Bryce L Brown and Rae Sykes are now friends.
Bryce L Brown and Brent Vinson are now friends.
Bryce L Brown and Daryl Vereen are now friends.
There is something to be said of this.
Yessir, I asked to be his friend myself (UT Alum '08)... Some recruits talk about places giving them a lot of love and how that was the reason they went to one school or another. I figure a lot of the football players, his supposed "wife" from UT and anyone else sporting Big Orange receiving him as a friend could'nt hurt; shows the family like atmosphere of southern hospitality. I hope we get this guy and Charles, with what we have already and their addition -and of course O and D line next year- there would not be too much chatter anymore about UT "rebuilding".
I have faith in our coaches and I think they will bring the best out in players. We are gonna be hearing a lot of new names next year that have been on our team that might not be as familiar to the average fan (of course I'm not talking about us, the members of VN), playmakers in high school that never saw time bc a) Fulmer played seniors over lower-classmen and b) Clawfense was way too complicated to work in the SEC much less for a young guy -without ANY SEC experience- to learn that quickly. BB would def be a good outlet pass when protection breaks down esp. for a quarterback that has ability and only needs some confidence and rythm. (Not gonna say who I'm supporting for the QB pos. but i DO think there is potential in all 3) Charles would have the height and aggressiveness to pull down those 50/50 balls. He is also an outstanding athlete.
We have the potential to be GREAT now!

From The Wichita Eagle:
NCAA meets with two involved with Brian Butler
An NCAA investigator interviewed Bryce Brown's former high school football coach Thursday and another Brian Butler-trained player on Friday, apparently with the intent of learning more about Butler and his role as an adviser to Brown and other players.
Brian Byers, Brown's former coach at East, and Northwest coach Weston Schartz confirmed that they met with Mike DeCesare, NCAA assistant director for amateurism certification.
"All I can say is I have talked to the NCAA and I can't comment on it," Byers said.
Schartz said he was part of a meeting with DeCesare, Northwest offensive lineman Colby Duranleau and Duranleau's mother, Karen Powell, on Friday at the player's home. He would not reveal details of the meeting, and Duranleau did not respond to an Eagle request for an interview.
Duranleau, a senior who has signed with Coffeyville Community College, trained with Butler at one time but does not now. Butler said Duranleau stopped training with him when Butler began to charge for his services.
"I can't really say what we talked about," Duranleau told SI.com. "I guess he just really wanted to talk to me about Brian Butler. That's about the only thing I can say.
"My relationship with Brian started out positive and ended up kind of negative. I can't elaborate why it turned negative. That's kind of one of the things that we talked about."
Butler was with Brown, the nation's No. 1 prospect, on a recruiting trip at LSU on Friday and said he had not been contacted by the NCAA.
"I'm definitely disappointed, but I'm not surprised," Butler said. "Bryce is the No. 1 player in the country. They just want to make sure everything is on the up and up. That's not a problem."
Friday, no other high school coaches with players training under Butler said they had been contacted by the NCAA.
Butler could have raised the NCAA's interest in past weeks on two fronts.
On Feb. 4, Butler told the New York Times that if the Canadian Football League was interested in Brown, Butler would consider telling Brown to go pro in that league and bypass college football. Five days later, Butler sent an e-mail to Wichita media outlets saying it was not a possibility and that the CFL had not contacted anyone involved with Brown.
Butler also took the somewhat-rare step this month of charging readers for Brown recruiting information on his Potential Players Web site. He has since ended that pay service.

Russell Shepard has been showing him a good time this weekend and putting the bug in his ear. He should be an official member of the recruiting staff. I wouldn't be surprised to see Miles and company have him locked up this weekend.
