I have stated why I believe Martha's Vineyard was chosen, and it will not help fight the influx of illegal immigration at the southern border :

Ron DeSantis thought poking the wealthy, liberal elite of New England in the eye, would amuse the Republican Party base. It's a petty and political, publicity stunt, which will end up creating more consternation for the Republican Governor of Massachusetts, than it will for anyone else.

I thought it was funny and well done. These states have been dealing with a complete lack of immigration policy for years. When the ivory tower is put in the same position they lasted less than a day before calling in the NG.

Once again, there is confusion over who has the authority over the deployment of the National Guard. It is not ordinary citizens. Only the Governor can mobilize the National Guard. In the case of Massachusetts, that would be Charlie Baker, who just happens to be a Republican. That inconvenient fact makes this stunt a little trickier, doesn't it? It's not such a clear cut liberal ownage.

first, you make the mistake of thinking I care about your little tribal fights. This is about actual immigration reform which both sides are resisting. Just nice that those so far detached had to finally deal with it. We saw what happened when the yard sign signaling got slapped upside the head.

Not really inconvenient you realize he wouldn't have just done it without pressure. Hilarious how whiny and scared all those tolerant people became. Bunch of losers

You not only commented on it, you commended it as being "funny and well done." So, it seems that you not only care about "little tribal fights," but you also enjoy them.

... and you have no idea why Gov. Baker mobilized the National Guard. That is conjecture on your part. We do know that Baker is opposed to sanctuary cities/towns and against Massachusetts being a sanctuary state. His policy is that it should be decided on the local level. I don't imagine that he appreciated this stunt from DeSantis very much.

That they've nothing better to do than create a myth that school system are transitioning record numbers of children without the knowledge of parents or any psychiatric expertise.

Biden has done this for decades. He used his dead wife and daughter as political props to smear the trucker his wife pulled the family vehicle in front of. He's been using his civil rights activist stories long before his presidential run . He campaigned on being the most progressive (leftist) president ever. He has more than enough lucidity to know what he's doing. He's not a puppet ruler dancing on the strings of the left; he is the ***** left.

Stop letting him off the hook.

I don’t let him off for a lot of things but I also know from experience what an elderly man that walks with his mouth open , his arms not swinging and still at his side and a very specific gaited foot shuffle means .
