This is why that Pitt game was so awesome. People complain about plays left on the field but Vols got the W and by gawd if the Vols aren’t getting a ton of love!
It's like when that reporter today asked Heup which statistics he used to measure offensive production, and Heup said "Wins." Full stop.

As fans, I believe we critique, because much like coaches, we know how much potential this team has. It was equally impressive to not play our A game against a top 20 team on the road and still get the W.

They losing Miller, we adding Mitchell and Dee Williams. All hands on deck!
Amazing how healthy we've been so far.

I remember when Butch's teams "led" the nation in most missed starts b2b seasons...and we completely fell apart both years when we had otherwise plenty of talent. Meanwhile, UGA 2017 had ONE missed start all season. Propelled them to a huge season and then recruiting for the future.

If we could merely "out attrition" the league, we could well find ourselves in some unusually optimistic games later this year...

I think the hit Beasley put on Slovis when he threw the interception would 100% have been targeting if we were playing Bama or Georgia.
If we were playing one of them, just being within five yards of their QBs is a penalty. Must always preserve the conference’s chances of getting two teams in the playoffs.

If anyone watches the LPGA, they are playing at my home course the week of Sept 26. The Golf Clubs at The Tribute. Check it out---Old American is a tough course and when the wind blows, it's brutal.

On a lighter note, I got my 5th hole in one on Old American #3 last week. It was a 143 yard 7 iron. Cost me a few bucks too :):)
I never was lucky or good enough to get one when I played. On the other hand, my son, who is 30, already has 3, and two of them were on par 4's!

Where do you get the table of equivalents between point spread and winning percentage? It's always interesting when you do that.
This is the one I use, though I guess anyone could calculate it based on historical data. Or more recent data if things have shifted a bit. I do know the ole "home field advantage is worth 3 points" adage has shifted toward 2.5 to 2 points. Either way, just a nice compass to approximate...

I'd like to pick your mind @VolsDoc81TX as well.

My buddy that was in the hospital for 5 months to start 2022 is now clear of all the COVID and related issues. But he's in the rehabilitation phase and his insurance basically cut 'em free with just a twice a week in house visit where the PT does little to nothing apparently.

Specifically his got nerve issues in his left leg. Knee won't quite straighten out and he can't really feel his foot or ankle much. I've been trying to suggest things to him, but obviously no medical background. Anything you'd say he should work on that he can do at home?

How old is he? Should contact the Health and Human Services department to see if government has any funding for residual or Long Covid symptoms. Ask if they have insurance requirements thst his insurance has to abide by for continued care.
If his insurance didn’t terminate his benefits,
He absolutely needs an EMG/NCS to see if he has nerve injury due to entrapment neurpathy or lumbar radiculopathy. Especially if that leg is also weak.
If he can’t straighten his leg out due to a knee flexion contracture, the acute care hospital and rehab hospital may be at fault and responsible for his care to correct it.

Insurance Benefits don’t cover therapy forever anymore. However, if the therapy isn’t documenting correctly, it can get cut too. Or his insurance carrier is a douche canoe.

Where’s he located? Needs to see an Orthopedic surgeon or a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist If he sees a PM&R doc, make sure that they do EMG/NCS testing too.

I remember checking Twitter and VN with fear every day of fall camp 2015. Seemed like every day a new player would go down with a serious injury.

Then Butch overcorrected in 2016 and clearly didn't put the team through much of a fall camp at all, and they were soft and weak as a result.

Oh please oh please…taking #4 out of the back end will bring down my blood pressure.
also hope that Dee Williams gets a few reps at CB and on a kick return.
We better get somebody else some game time mins at punt return just in case flowers can’t go at some point

If we beat one of bama or georgia, we will have a regular season record of 11-1. However, they will both fall to the Vols this year for our regular season record of 12-0. Then, after winning the SECCG against either bama or TAMU, we may even get a rematch against bama or uga in the playoffs to finish the year at 15-0 🤠

Here’s where I am torn. Which would be sweeter? Beating bama 2-3 times in the same season? Beating uga 2 times in the same season? Or being instrumental in keeping both bama and uga out of the playoffs? I vote for the third option. Then we get to not only feast on their misery of no playoffs birth, but also get to whoop up on a couple of non-SEC playoff teams. Thus beginning Tennessee’s true reign of terror…I want Tennessee to get the opportunity to destroy as many different college teams as possible so that there is no doubt.

It would be awesome if TAMU beats bama to keep them out of the SECCG, maybe throw in a loss to auburn or LSU as well…

Same story for uga. How much fun would it be for them to lose to Tennessee, Auburn, and one or both of kentucky and the gators.

Here’s to dreams coming true…🤞🙏😈

But, let’s not look ahead and lose focus. This wee Tennessee plays the Akron Zips. Time to get into game mode. Rev up the Maxims!

Love this! That's exactly where I keep mine!

Some better brother. Like a bad sinus infection for the most part. I appreciate the check in. One positive is I am out of going to a wedding Saturday night and get to watch a certain game now. 😁
You should go to the wedding just so you can slap some sense into whoever decided to get married on a Saturday during football season.
