It's time. Kesling has had his 2+ decades. . . it's time for a new voice for the new Vols.

I was listening to the first little bit before getting home to watch. On one play Bob said “Hooker back to pass. 10 yards to go for a first. Completed. Short gain on the play. It will be first and 10 after 11 yards on that completion”

I was like who did he throw it to Bob and 11 yards is not a short completion when you need 10 for the first.

There was no place to ask. Posting an individual thread seemed like a better option than going through 40 pages asking if x player was going to be on campus

I thought Jalin Hyatt was outstanding in the Pitt game. Loved how we got him involved in the short game. I think teams have been primarily concerned about him as a deep threat. But he may make defenses think twice about that moving forward.

I loved how we just grinded out first downs when we had to have them.

I also have been super impressed with our short yardage runs. Last year we couldnt convert a 3rd and 1 if our life depended on it. This season we have been smashing forward for 3 yards consistently in those situations. Growth.

I'm not putting anymore ceilings on the Vols. Go win them all and lets make up for lost time.

Thank you for reminding me. I’m just glad I had the foresight to buy them at my young age. You always have to be ready. Do you think either one of them might need to borrow them now?

I've never heard Kessling sound more down. I've never been a fan of his but that broadcast doesn't sound like his usual ones. At first I thought it was due to us not playing well and him being deflated like many of us were given how rough we looked at times - BVS and all. But even on the final call he sounds down. What's weird is both of them seem down. Maybe something behind the scenes happened that explains the somber tone?

I'm all for a new broadcast team but this is pretty out of character. He does better work than this most of the time.
