Shane Beamer reminds me of someone who may have grown up entitled due to a rich/famous/adored parent, and yet has an inferiority complex due to same rich/famous/adored parent. But that's just a shot in the dark.

In other words, he’s a combination of Dooley and Butch.

Every game in the 90’s and early 2000’s. From 95-2005 Neyland rocked. This of course was prior to the smartphone being in everyone’s hand. I am not an old man saying get off my lawn, but prior to smartphone every person was watching game and reacting to the game.

Khalan Laborn (Marshall RB) is no joke! He has back to back 100 yard games and a YPC of 6.2 for the season. Former 4/5 star that was at FSU and transferred to Marshall, this is his first year playing (as a senior).

The wife and I are going to Gatlinburg for a few days before the Florida game. I haven’t been there since childhood. We’re staying on the strip and within walking distance of everything. Yeah. I recognized that you were blaming the players as an excuse for him. I'm not against him. But his playcalling and to a degree his scheme are a potential concern. IMO a more reasonable concern than Jeremy Banks in coverage. I don't think UT is good at CB right now. That may limit what he can do. Hadden is their best cover guy but needs more experience. The guy with the knowledge and experience is being targeted by opponents because his cover skills leave something to be desired.

But you are harping on the LB's as a pass coverage liability. Frankly... I'm not seeing that. JB put his hands on passes 2 or 3 times. He was doing his job. UT got a couple of tough bounces... but keep tipping passes at the LOS and you'll get incompletions and INT's more often than completions.

Tipping passes isn’t the same as being able to cover the pass. I’m talking about the ability to cover slants and TEs in passing game and intermediate crossing routes. Before Slovis got hurt they were killing us in those phases for the most part
