I don’t think you can give the coaching a c+they were better IMO
The offense coaches drew up some good plays
Hook overthrew Hyatt early and Tillman should’ve caught that TD pass
Guys were open early but we missed on them
We physically beat them up
Haven’t done that in awhile to a good team
Good argument. My main reasoning was the sluggish start we had to start the game and the offensive gameplan in the second half. Maybe a good bit of it was execution, so I would not be opposed to moving up to a B or B-.

Only problem I have to this (which may be an unpopular opinion) is Hendon Hooker. In my opinion he was just ok. Not honorable mention. Dude looked like the VT qb we all thought we were getting. Second quarter and OT he was good but other than that it was rough.
I gave him a bump for the play he made in OT. He had to extend the play, found Ced and made a great throw. Overall, over 300 yards passing. Agree he can be a good bit better.

I'll never understand Americans fascination with British royalty. We were literally founded on disgust for British royalty and the monarchy system.
You know even at the time of the Revolution there may have been more Royalists than Patriots. Military revolution is not always democratic. While the new found Republic was representational even Ben Franklin's son favored the Crown.

Through 2 games:

Wright 6.14 ypc but 2 fumbles

Small 3.5 ypc

Where do you go from here? Tell Wright to buckle up and next fumble he sits for a long time or trust Small to right things?

Fwiw at least both have been fine in pass pro. That was a worry and it seems (as far as I can tell) to be ok so far.

I loved the use of Jalin Hyatt as an extension of the run game. They had it every time they wanted it an exploited it for 11 catches
All but the end-around, which I was excited to see before it got stuffed. Would like to see that a couple of times vs UF and then go PA off it for a deep pass.

We start chucking it 60x per game. Ced, Hyatt, and Bru each finish season with 80+** catches. Vols roll.

**You’re a math guy, you can correct that if the math doesn’t work

Eh, there were a couple sketch moments yesterday where the tightend and runningback were trying to block in the same spot. Honestly, I am not smart enough to know who's fault it was. It could have been Pitt being smart with blitzes, too.

Small was more effective in the first game, he didn't play at all in the second half I think. Wright played more in the second half and had the one big run.

Against Pitt Wright was just more effective. I think because he's a little bigger. He also may be better in pass protect so he was getting more snaps simply because of game flow.

I think you keep rolling the way we are with Small as starter and figure out which one is having a better day. I would like to see Sampson get some more snaps but understand why they didn't want to throw in the lesser experienced players in that kind of game.
