Noticed post game interview Beamer took a shaded jab at the Vols. Reporter said GA state Was a battle.BEamer yep their tough another SECteam found out not to long ago and suffered

Beamer and his high school like antics makes me wanna puke. I don't know how his players view him anything other than a straight clown. Beamer was dancing with the players while they were celebrating the scoop and score. What grown man coach starts dancing mid game with his players as soon as they score, makes Tik Tok videos, and has the most punch able face in the SEC? SHANE BEAMER.

I seem to have watched a different game. I saw a starting QB that got a little loose because the defense they were playing was only slightly better than the air they had been practicing against during camp. I saw one glaring weakness at corner, and a some missed communication amongst the 2nd and 3rd string defensive backs. If you wonder why we scored less in the 2nd half, look at the time between snaps. The definitely were not snapping the ball every 3 seconds. The game against Pitt will be the first one that will show anything about this team.

It's just silly that anyone who watched the first game makes the solid conclusion that we suck. The only conclusion to be made is that we don't know much yet. My eyes tell me that there are two teams that are way ahead of everyone else in depth of talent and it's the same two teams as last year. Let's give Heupel a chance to build something.

I don’t get it. I agree our defense still has something to prove to us but the offense scored 45 in the first half and 1 series in the 3rd quarter. After that we played 4 quarterbacks. They could have scored 80 if they wanted

We come out with this vanilla a** playbook play 1 half and what 1/2 drives in the 2nd with the starters and still win 59-10 but yet we are soft and now a 6 win team at most?! Lol MEGANEGAVols Come on the hell with what they did, worry about us and I bet if we go beat Pitt by 14 and y’all are back in here saying 9-3 lol one game at a time

I think the concern is the defense, especially the DBs and lack of a pass rush. Teams are going to have a lot of success throwing against us. If the offense isn't clicking on a particular day, we will lose.

I still think we win 8 games, but we are going to have to win some shootouts.

I think the defense needs to improve, but the offense for the Vols will be no joke.

If Oregon and Utah would have played any of the top 5-7 teams in the SEC on the road I still think the outcomes is the same. Oregon don’t get beat as bad, but I still think they lose to any of the top 5 teams in the SEC. I think the Vols have a legitimate chance to getting to 9 wins and if the ball bounces right and we get a couple breaks we could slip into 10. But I think the most likely outcome in Heuple 2nd year is 8-9 regular season wins.

The difference between last year's team and this year's team in all spots sans OL and Passing was obvious. Evan's, Butler's, Taylor's and Jackson's absences are clear in their respective positions. We couldn't even sack a Ball St. QB, they put up 270 yards in passing, and we didn't have a 100 yard rusher. Florida is going to beat us IMO. I thought people thinking 9-10 wins were drinking the way too early to tell Kool aid, but how in the world anyone still has those expectations after watching these games is surprising to me. Hope you are right though. We shall see.

I come on here and read the “we were vanilla because we didn’t want to show too much on offense” and “our defense is still terrible” but I have to imagine Heupel doesn’t give a rats ass about showing too much on either side of the ball. We have new players he has to teach on both sides of the ball. He doesn’t care what Florida sees. Or Pitt. If we execute the gameplan Saturdays we win or we’re in a position to win. It’s that simple. Every week is a learning experience and you have to start somewhere to teach these players and develop them.

Some of you think we come into the season with guys that have already played a season’s worth of games and Heupel is playing chess with our week 5 opponents. I laugh every time.

Tell me I’m wrong.

PS I agree 8-4 with some emerging talent would be enough for me to call the season a step in the right direction. Sans blowouts would be a big step

Guess how many sacks Florida had.....Utah had over 200 yards passing with only 1 main receiving threat.

Well you are hitting the nail on the head when it comes to lack of experience. There is a lot of it on D and that was clear in the Ball St game. Our secondary was porous and we couldn't get one sack. I doubt that has anything to do with play calling. I hope you are right though, because if I am, we are in trouble. We have a team coming to town who that just put up 283 yards of rushing on Utah. Granted, they are pretty young on D and missing 2 NFL Linebackers.

I think we match up well with Pitt. Their new QB Slovis is nothing like last years. He had minus 20 yards rushing . We should be able to get off the field vs last year.
UF will be tough until we stop a mobile/ scrambling QB I have no confidence in our D. We will have to outscore them.
LSU I’ll watch tonight but I still think their QB play is the common denominator. We will see if the Az transfer is a fit vs FSU.

Alabama, Georgia , Pitt, Florida, LSU or Kentucky.
There is a possibility for 6 loses if we don’t play defense better (3rd down) and tackle better.
