It's mostly stuff like this. Effort didn't match results.

Love misleading vague stats...

Nebraska on the season had
3197 passing yards
2174 rushing yards
31 total offensive TDs
335 Points

In 3 wins
830 passing yards (26% of total passing yards)
976 rushing yards (45% of total rushing yards)
15 total offensive TDs (48% of total offensive TDs)
136 Points (40.5% of points scored)

All this talk about bands and no one mentioned the Pride of the Southland as the best college band there is! New members start band camp today and Rocky Top will be echoing around campus by Sunday. We are officially less than 3 weeks until our first game! 🧡🍊🧡
My first POTS band camp we were still practicing in Neyland Stadium. That was back before we went to grass.

That was 30 years ago. I just made myself feel old.

Still can’t believe a NFL team didn’t give him a shot returning kicks

The NFL game was already starting to change with kickoff rules to limit hard collisions, so there isn't a great emphasis on that anymore. Returners are guys who can help you at other positions, considering there is a 53 man game roster.

Its a mountainous formation tinged with various shades as a result of the complex combination of minerals.

Lol but it's due to layers made up of different parent materials. The yellow colors are a sandstone that have a lot of sulfurous compounds. The pinks and reds have a lot of iron and iron-rich clays. The white has more calcium carbonates. And green is from ferro-magnesian (iron and magnesium) and phyllites (high in chlorites - same reason bleach has a greenish tinge).

More interestingly to me isn't the colors but the history that went into making the layers. Typically they're fairly similar but in this location there's very drastic differences in the forces that took place to make them. Calcium carbonate layers were probably under a shallow sea at one point. Probably periods of volcanism in there for some layers driving the sulfur levels. Sandstones from sedimentary and shallow sea deposits over time. Then the iron rich clays would be the result of a LOT of weathering and slow breakdown of the parent material that's probably high in silica.

Then consequentially each of these layers probably has a different pH. The red layers will probably be acidic and the calcium carbonate laters will probably be basic (unless they've been completely stripped of hydroxyls by weathering and time). Just very unique to have that much difference in one location.

If you look at the Cumberland Plateau for example, the rivers are just starting to cut through limestone. As you move up it's various layers of sandstone with shale layers and coal seams, then the cap is a very weather-resistant conglomerate of sandstones. But for the most part, all the factors that went into building those rock layers are similar and only the stark contrast of black coal is different from a color perspective.
Love this stuff.

Statistics exist to be manipulated to prove points. No doubt.

On the other hand, did you watch Nebraska play last year? They were a better team than their 3-9 record. There were a few games that were downright inexplicable. I think the stats that those guys have pulled to prove the point that Nebraska simply should not have been a 3-win team do illustrate how odd their results were.

To that point, we've seen Tennessee lose some head-scratchers, mostly due to moronic coaching, so maybe it's just more to pile on Frost.

Note my edit.

Elvis had a huge hand in promoting RnR in the beginning. I'm not sure he had much to do with actually creating it, which in my view is definitive in being regarded as the "king" of it. That's all.

As I see it, Elvis was a pretty face, good voice, and some flexible hips to cause controversy and attention. But we have RnR because of the bands and songwriters that were actually writing/creating rock n roll. If we want to crown folks, let's crown them, is all I'm saying.

Sounds like a case for either The Beatles or The Rolling Stones for "king" of RnR then...but they don't even get going without Elvis and those early pioneers.

@volbound1700 site is free, we do ask that you give @Weezer your email address, just as added measure.

Yeah... Give @Weezer your e-mail address.... for the newdz letter... I mean the news letter.... a LOT of info in those e-mails.

Short of girls losing it for a pretty man, I never saw the big draw for Elvis. He was (at one time) a pretty dude that could dance and sing other people's music. Come to think of it, he was pretty much a one-member boy band.
What the..🥴..🤨😡🤬....goo-sss-fraaah-baaahhhhh..😌😌😌😌

They definitely appreciated him and idolized him. My understanding is that their biggest inspirations were the American blues musicians, and that's who the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, etc were processing, making their own, and then offering back to the world in new forms.

We were a better team than our 4-8 record as well in Butch's last season here. I'm not disagreeing that Nebraska underperformed, but Wins and Losses are what you're measured by. And nearly half of your offensive production in every major stat came in 3 of your 12 games.

They're blaming that on the Martinez QB that has been at Nebraska for 20 years

And we blamed it on JG ;)

I think Scott Frost is overrated as a HC. George O'Leary basically tanked UCF in his last season (not sure if it was on purpose or what) cause the man had went 12-1 and 9-4 the years prior so that 0-12 squad Frost inherited and went 6-7 with in year 1 wasn't as bad as people tried to make it seem. He's been at Nebraska 4 years already and is about to trot out his 3rd OC while there. He's 15-29 there and his best season was a 5 win one. I'm so glad we didn't end up with him. I personally hope he keeps on losing lol

If they don't win 7 games this year then he's a buster.

At the same time, I do have a soft spot in my heart for Nebraska. I met some cool fans at the 2016 MCB. Big Orange - Big Red, passionate fanbase wondering what the hell happened to their program. Have hung on despite the program crashing hard. There are a lot of similarities between our programs, and our fans.
