Yes. Maybe it’s a good thing we have already forgotten what a shape the whole AD was in. Remember it was burnt to the ground and had to start in ashes.
Lol we burnt it to the ground a few times imo. We do everything 100%.

Sorry everyone for taking the thread off course back to your regularly scheduled recruiting thread.

I’ve not had much time to get on this week. So when I can grab a minute I rush to the player threads to see what is happening. What do I find? Arguments about what other position they should play in college besides the one that everyone is saying. Is this some kind of male control thing or just a game you play? 😂

For those who may know or have heard...any kind of info on Tayven Jackson? I know during spring, sounded like he works hard, progressed a bit; but, has a ways to go.

Has he put on good weight, gotten any bigger; how's he looking physically? Any other nugz anybody has?

Yes

I don’t know that Sam Pittman would’ve taken the Tennessee job if offered at the same time Arkansas hired him. Traditionally Tennessee is a much better job but when you have guys like Sonny Dykes telling you thanks but no thanks it’s telling. Our past two ADs were sacked by boosters, Fulmer, Anderson got Currie canned who was doing what Haslam told him to do; Haslam got Fulmer and Pruitt canned, a leak in the athletic dept to compliance doesn’t sack any AD or coach in the SEC unless a power player wants that to happen. We were almost as dysfunctional as Auburn is currently.

Again it’s not the roster you’re given or the schedule only. You can have the best roster and schedule in the world and be screwed by incompetence above you as a coach. White has definitely removed a lot of obstacles for Heupel to be successful but coming in this was a very difficult job. Most said Tennessee was only surpassed by Nebraska as far as difficulty and expectations of fans and boosters. Pittman had done a fantastic job no doubt but to say that Heupel had a even decent situation is laughable. Every decent coach in the country was saying no publicly and behind closed doors bc they knew how difficult the Tennessee job would be.
We don't know if Sonny Dykes told us no. If so, I'm grateful.

This the Football Talk thread in the Recruiting Forum. Talking about two football coaches in the SEC is football talk. This thread also serves as a thread for regular posters in the Recruiting Forum to stay in contact and discuss various subjects.
Player threads are for discussing individual players, but this thread can be used for anything football related including players and coaches. This is the catch all thread for Recruiting Forum, many have been here for a long time and welcome newcomers.
PS - This thread serves as a catch all to prevent multiple threads from cluttering the forum. Every idle thought does not require a new thread.

😂 Technically a formal offer was never extended but he wasn’t interested. I think some of our fans blew him up on email as well during the fiasco. Getting to the point where it’s hard to remember who was asked during which coaching search by which AD, as there have been so many searches.

Which year two guys you most intrigued by?

I'd like to see if Deshawn Rucker steps up. Door is wide open. Has a lot of natural ability. Not sure what held him back last year? IIRC he played in a few games and then disappeared. Mightve just been the plan to redshirt him. Also IIRC he looked terrible in the bowl game and was taken off the field - but honestly the entire defense looked bad that day.

As far as second year transfers.... put me down for William Mohan. Word was he's an athletic freak just raw. Interested to see what a year of development, and essentially two years in college, does for him. Like the secondary, the door is wide open at LB.
