Did you see the Louisville player’s response to a called strike? He wasn’t ejected.
Telling us to reign it in? Put on more steam.
Exactly.
There you have it. Which continually proves the point. The NCAA and SEC do not apply their rules on level playing fields - period. They are selective. The umps, and officials in others sports, then proceed to do what they are told when performing their jobs. That makes them complicit in the corruption. They hide under ump's or official's discretion to make calls. It's still corruption because it is not uniform treatment.
The obvious thing to do was issue a warning. This is the player's last season and he may not be able to play in the team's last game. It is not MLB where you get 162 games a year. If he violates the warning - throw him out. Since he was hitting, declare him out and move on. If it's the pitcher doing it - award first base to the batter. Get an unsportsmanlike in football - penalty, no ejection. You need two to be ejected. Same in basketball - two techs if just mouthing off before ejection. It's time to use some dang common sense. But if they do, it removes their abilities to influence outcomes.
Which is THE problem.
Read that the umps had already warned him
Wasn't his first at bat.It was his first AB - when? Before the game? It had not happened yet. If that is correct it only proves the point they were targeted in advance, yet, did not do the same with other teams.
I agree that he and others should channel the rage into being better at playing the game. But that was ridiculous.
Disappointing night for sure. I still have faith we are going to win it all. Need Dolander to be dominate today.
I was looking back at ND’s regional, and Texas Tech’s 3rd base coach got suspended 7 games for arguing balls and strikes and bumping an umpire. It ain’t just us. It appears college baseball might have a problem. Just like basketball, it’s incompetence in officiating games.

We were gonna lose at least one game. Chances were just too high. Better to lose that one poo game, this team plays better when pressure is on.I'm actually super calm about today. I see a win and it not even being close. ND played a perfect game yesterday and needed a lot of breaks to go their way, and still if the Vols cash in on their early chances it's at least 10-8.
The umps will never be good enough to satisfy fans…. Didn’t get to watch last night bc I had other obligations(kept up online/radio and such) but last weekend I felt the umps did a decent job…. They are calling a game behind the catcher where the ball is going 85-100 mph and can move 10 inches or more… our vantage point is a zoomed in camera that is directly in line with the ball. Anytime you argue balls and strikes then you stand a real good chance of being kicked out… we may not like it but it is what happens in baseball… we were extremely lucky Jorel wasn’t ran last game… We lost last nights game bc of poor play…. We need our pitching to man up and do it’s job. Go Vols!Exactly.

Youth baseball is the best!!!I missed last night’s game.
My 8u son’s baseball team had their championship game. It was, without a doubt, the best baseball game I’ve ever seen played. Just amazing. Team we faced averaged 18 runs. Held them to 4 through 5 innings. We have had an up and down year. Came into our own in the tourney. We held on to a 5-4 lead from the second. Lost 6-5 in the final inning. Just incredible plays being made by little dudes all over the field on both sides. Not only that, both squads had great parents. After the game, we just all realized how special that was.
Truly special moment. Little league baseball is awesome when parents don’t ruin it.
