Ya, I was going to say, I'm not that old, but in my (much more limited) years in the south, I've never heard it called middle fielder. Don't give southerners a reputation for weird stuff unless it's true hahaUh, I have lived in the south for 56 years. Never heard the center fielder called the middle fielder.
