AP said the new OL commit is just depth. I’m hoping this is reverse psychology….we’ve recently had highly rated JUCO linemen commits that couldn’t see the field, but I’m gonna think this dude is the second coming of Trey Smith 😊

His originals? Hell yes. His recent ones? No. He really switched modes into just talking about things on his mind...with a sprinkle of comedy. His old stuff was pure comedy and elite.

That said, he does have some very interesting viewpoints. I heard him on Sirius recently and he spoke for about 8-10 minutes telling a story, basically an allegory, based on an infamous pimp and his bottom b****. It was long, only a few chuckles, but ultimately about how people (like prostitutes) can be used up and exploited by their employers. It was actually a great and really interesting analogy. You can tell he still has a LOT on his mind concerning the whole Comedy Central fallout.

It is what it is, but I agree he's not as funny anymore and it seems to be by choice. Even his SNL appearance was really meh. Netflix guaranteed him, I believe, 3 or 4 specials, so he talked about what he wanted. To each his own.

Unreal is ancient. I wouldn't say it's quickly becoming anything (it already is). It has been around forever and has powered more games than I can count -- major releases. The current release is really freakishly good (they figured out lighting without glowmaps or render times that used to take forever) but it's not the first time Unreal has been cutting edge. An interesting thing about the current engine is that it goes far beyond video games - solving the lighting problem means special effects can be done on the fly for film and video production.

I do think Zakai is a NIL dream waiting to happen but he's still waiting to happen. That's why I think it may be a grab as many potential stars as you can and wait for one of them to hit during the season - then you've got a guy under contract when it inevitably happens (and it happens every year with a few college bball players capturing attention for one reason or another).

Imo and from what Callahan has mentioned for months, it's just where we are and the portal is. Hardly anyone is left and has been left since our self-imposed restriction ended. Slim pickins.

So Fortnite is bundling. That makes the most sense to me. I love Zakai but individually he's not important enough. Not sure people realize how enormous Fortnite really is. You gottte be Kobe, MJ, Lebron to matter to Fortnite as an individual rather than as a market buy (and Zakai gonna be a part of the 'college fans' buy). Still as big as Fortnite is, it's huge that he's even in the college group.
