I say it because it is true. They are achieving their objectives. Maybe not as fast as you expect them or how you expect them, but I don't think they care what you think. Ukraine has had years to fortify the Donbas. This isn't land that is easily taken but Russia's plan to slowly grind forward takes care of all 3 objectives (de-militarization, de-nazification and liberation of Donbas).
Let's see if you are, in fact, rational.
Here is a comparison of the western-supplied artillery now coming into Ukrainian possession near the front lines vs. Russian artillery:

Still with me @volgr?
Now here's an important lesson in life: sometimes, SIZE matters. Yeah, I know, your husband says it doesn't, but in this case, the new Ukrainian artillery has a significantly longer range than the Russian artillery. Why does that matter? Well, in the Donbas region, there are largely static lines - trench warfare - that have built up since 2014. They haven't changed much because both the Russians and the Ukrainians have been largely fighting with similar gear. Artillery, tanks and drones are the main drivers.
But now with 100+ shiny new western artillery pieces (plus... shhhh... HIMARS systems... don't tell Vlad we did this), Ukraine has the distinct advantage. Simply put, Ukraine can lob the 90,000+ shells (some of which are accurate to within 6 feet) that we and others have provided them right onto the trench lines of the Russians. Should the Russians pull their artillery closer to the lines, they too, will be pulverized... and, most importantly, the new Ukrainian artillery can simply move forwards / backwards - as needed - to stay *completely* out of the range of the Russian artillery.
So here's the question for ya: How exactly is Russia going to stop the new Ukrainian artillery? Eh? Are they gonna launch major airstrikes / chopper attacks? How's that gonna work out with all the Stingers and S300 systems Ukraine now has?
What is Russia going to do to prevent their troops and materiel from being pounded non-stop by the new Ukrainian artillery?
And, if they ain't gonna prevent it, how long is this war gonna go on until Putin surrenders? I mean... damn dude, it's just gonna be blown up bits of dumb ass Russian soldiers day in and day out.
Dazzle us with your tactical military incite, comrade.
