I suggest reading some of the articles I posted. Engineers, accountants, and some people working in healthcare could be next. What do you suggest for them?Fun fact: one of my clients just fired all their cashiers and went cashless and now only takes orders through an app or a large iPad. This client has 120 plus restaurants. I am literally watching the switch in life.
Cashiers are the first things going everywhere. Hence self checkout everywhere now.
It will take longer but short order cooks are next.
You need to find a career and quit clinging to your food job. My best advice I can give ya.
There are still plenty of cashiers and retail clerks working in society. People skills will be once again valued in the future. The conservative hero Musk has even said this. I suggest most people learn them. Many on here are lacking in them that is for sure.
Self checkouts are not everywhere. One of the grocery stores I go to does not have them. Even then there are still plenty of other jobs in grocery stores. For example Walmart does not have as many cashiers now but they do have employees who shop and pick the online grocery delivery orders.
The best advice I can give you and others is to stop wishing for people's jobs to go away due to automation. It really reflects poorly on you conservatives who wish this. One day it might be the job of one of your loved ones that gets automated.
