War in Ukraine

Oh sure the pie in the sky “what if” one that was generated a whole year later. That one pointed to some highly repetitive technical jobs like radiologist for example however engineering and economist didn’t lead the list.

Having actually been around AI/ML in the work place and understanding the sheer amount of computing required to train a model for limited usage even were decades away from “thinking” machines. The article you are chest thumping over noted no timeline I believe other than pointing to the obvious low skill repetitive jobs that could be replaced today? Like food preparation?
So in other words you did not like what you read in the first one. Which is a very realistic scenario and even one that Elon Musk himself recently suggested could happen. Notice I posted articles which did not just feed into your little echo chamber. Another article even mentioned how jobs in the trucking industry that did not involve driving could be more affected than actual driving jobs.

I brought up this topic because it has been mentioned that jobs in accounting, engineering, computer programming could be replaced by AI but many of the more hands on and service related jobs are safe. It is not something you want to hear but is very realistic and there are people that would love for AI to replace millions of jobs. So I guess you can just continue to womp womp all you want.

That first article also had a full 46 page report for you to read. I suggest reading it and getting back to us.

Speaking of food preparation I suggest that more people learn how to read a recipe book and learn how to cook themselves. It is quite the nice skill to have.

I’ve got something for you to go research too Curly. Quantum computing. DARPA is dumping all kinds of money into it. The fact is you aren’t mentally equipped to process what that article said you are chest thumping over. AI/ML in the mainstream is decades away and we will see it employed in defense areas first. Areas like automatic target recognition are a goto area hearing AI/ML money thrown at it now. Oh my apologies I’m using the full acronym which your buzz word lingo isn’t down with yet. Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning is the full acronym and area of study. And it will take orders of magnitude improvements in computing power and miniaturization before we can even hope to replicate the simple neural networks even your fry cook brain manages on a regular shift. Can you point me to the deployment timeline listed in that article you’re chest thumping over Curly? 🤡

I am not chest thumping over anything. You are the one chest thumping as you got this obsession against workers in certain fields. I am not sure as to why.

I have said more than once that I am against mass automation in the workforce and that this is something conservatives should be against as well. Since you are having trouble understanding what I am saying I am going to attribute to poor reading comprehension skills on your part. Some of it can also be attributed to the fact that you are too set in your ways to think outside your little echo chamber.

I don’t have anything against any workers. But I do enjoy mocking people that have an unjustified over valuation of low skill labor and some how thinking they aren’t replaceable and are highly valued. Based on how much you are/we’re abused in that topic I’m not alone either.

And we know you’re against it. But it isn’t going to stop Robbie the Robot from taking your fry cook job Curly. At this point is when not if. And this has absolutely zilch to do with conservative values.

Here are some more for you. These two involving healthcare.

Notable nabs $100M to automate administrative tasks in healthcare, boosts valuation to $600M

Physicians expect almost one-third of their job to be automated by 2040, Stanford Medicine report finds.

Sucks for healthcare then. I’m fine as an engineer as are doctors I’ll guess. Automating their job doesnt replace them. I’ve got automation today to help me in my job but it wont replace me. Your fry cook job isn’t looking good though Curly.

Robbie the Robot could also replace the dispatcher, accountant, and engineer. Even people working in healthcare. Like you said. It is when not if.

Conservative values should be rejecting this mass automation and AI. I am beginning to think your values do not line up with conservatism so I guess I am speaking to the wrong person about conservative values.

You might be fine as an engineer now but that does not mean the future generations of engineers will be fine. As that article I shared suggested. Those engineers might be looking for employment inside a Captain Ds or Staples store in the future if people get their way with automation.

Lulz. Keep telling yourself that Curly. The likely outcome is next generations engineers will be eating lunch cooked by Robbie the Robot.

Not feeling well Vlad? Putin looks Unsteady in Easter church service footage showing him biting lip and fidgeting as health Rumours Grow and war continues to go badly

Vladimir Putin looked frail and unsteady at footage purporting to be from a midnight mass for Orthodox Easter, stoking rumours surrounding the Russian president's ailing health.

He chewed his lip and appeared unsure of his footing as he stood in Moscow's Christ the Saviour Cathedral alongside the city's mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

A nervous-looking Putin bit his lip while attending the church service, fidgeting and appearing distracted while watching the church service.

He appeared to chew the insides of his mouth, shifting uncomfortably, adding to a swirl of commentary that the pressure of Russian setbacks over the war in Ukraine.

The Russian president has seen rumours circling around his physical and mental fitness after footage emerged of him gripping the table in front of him during a meeting with one of his senior staff.

Putin, 69, was seen gripping the table and tapping his foot frantically, prompting the rumours of his mental deterioration.

Observers said Putin's actions are consistent with someone suffering from Parkinson's disease, which causes tremors, slow movement and stiffness.

Reuters reported Putin did not join in with the congregational response, declining to respond 'he has truly risen', along with the rest of the congregation.

'I am persuaded by a lot of medical advice that he is an ill man and the most persuasive diagnosis is that he has early Parkinsonia,' said former government defence and Nato adviser Professor Gwythian Prins, appearing on Good Morning Britain.

'I happen to live with a clinical neurological psychologist, my wife who has spent 30 years dealing with people who have had degenerative brain diseases.'

He and Biden should take the same mental stability tests and see which scores higher . The winner gets to point and laugh at the other one .

Robbie the Robot must be a nickname for a former engineer who had to get a job at BK due to their job being automated. Or he could just live off universal basic income. Which your hero Musk said was coming even back in 2016.

Yep that’s it Curly. Go find a mirror and you will know what he looks like.

They don’t support your assertions however. As usual.
You and others seem to think only a few jobs and industries will be affected by automation. Several industries will be affected. Once again you have been proven wrong. Must suck to be outsmarted by a fry cook. LMAO.

Because of the laziness of conservatives, democrats might end up getting some of the things they desire in the future. Not something I wish for though.

I posted plenty of articles that you can go read. I suggest you do that before making a stupid comment such as that.

Fun fact: one of my clients just fired all their cashiers and went cashless and now only takes orders through an app or a large iPad. This client has 120 plus restaurants. I am literally watching the switch in life.

Cashiers are the first things going everywhere. Hence self checkout everywhere now.

It will take longer but short order cooks are next.

You need to find a career and quit clinging to your food job. My best advice I can give ya.

Doesn't Chili's do that? Maybe it's Fridays. Little Kioks at the table.

Dude multiple industries will be eventually effected but corp tax, mechanical, nuclear, chemical engineers isn’t one of them. And I am in none of these fields so I got zero skin in the game.

Finance and HR bots aren’t going to be able to tell the executive team what they want to hear.

That still requires an MBA.

I haven’t eaten at either in decades but I do know steak and shake made the change. Most eventually will I think.

I do agree some form of universal income will have to happen with some many jobs going away but I just don’t know how it’s substainable.
