Farming out some cheap consumer goods to China is one thing; farming out the stuff we need to continue to function as a country is criminal. It's one thing to rely on Taiwan, S Korea, Japan, or European countries for electronic components, cars, and appliances; but to rely on your enemy is suicide. It's even worse when you consider how our trade and innovation (whether through sales of items like aircraft, exported industry, and theft) has allowed China to build a military that we'll have to face one day. You really have to hope that stories about how much China sourced medicine or raw chemicals used to produce our medicine are grossly overstated, or we may be even more screwed than we think ... and who knows about purity and quality.

I know this is wasted time, because you cannot reason with an unreasonable person but here goes....

So the articles i have read here clearly state that the wives abd children OF AZOV battalion are holed up underground with the AB soldiers....and you are actually calling them "human shields"?

Really? So the soldiers chose to keep their women and children WITH THEM rather than leave them unguarded with an army encircling them in Mariupol....the very same army still famous for probably the single biggest rapefest in history (see Rape of Berlin)...so these brave mofos choose to protect their own family members...to the death rather than have them raped and butchered...and they have to deal with clowns like YOU calling them human shields? As if it was cowardice and not brass balls bravery?

If my town was under attack by an army, rioters, random criminals etc you can bet your ignorant arse that my wife and kids will be right with me. Behind me, as i will always work to put myself between them a nd any aggressors. I think any man who did otherwise was likely cowardly, shirking his duty as a husband and father.

Saddam putting AAA guns on top of hospitals and schools is using human shields.

This isnt.

A blind man could see the difference but youre just trolling so...

Wow, some honesty...atleast mostly...so, if Trump were President, Putin likely wouldnt have invaded because the US would have pulled out of NATO or diplomatically worked with Putin to avert war.

Yet, Ive been told by many of you, that Russia is mostly to blame.

The end goal of de-militarization, de-nazification and recognizing the independence of Crimea/Donbas was going to happen one way of another, moron, but Ukrainian lives dont matter to you so they became a play thing in the middle of your Russia/US larp. Diplomacy isnt rolling over.

2 days ago, Ukrainian PM said 1,000 civilians were trapped inside. Didn't mention family members. I guess some could be family, but I would assume many of the 1,000 are not. Most of these civilians are innocent and will not face any sort of Russian persecution. I think they would prefer surrender to starving to death, don't you? Holed up with them are likely mostly Azov troops who will face Russian persecution and likely death. So, you do the math.

It's funny you mention the ways Saddam used human shields, because Ukraine has done the same. Most on this board justify it.

I have had 3 or 4. The worst part is the prep. The best part is the 8 hrs sleep you get in an hour.

I have a friend that is a retired anesthesiologist. I asked him about it. I always thought they gave you an antidote to bring you out. He explained the the drug they use is propofol. It's the same drug that Micheal Jackson abused that he died from. Evidently, your body metabolizes propofol rather quickly so no need to give an antidote. It's awesome stuff.

Wait.. what? You may be ok with tax dollars going to Zelensky but I’m not. We pumped several billions into Ukraine since 2010. Are they our step child who makes bad decisions now or was it burisma and political influence? Hunter Biden choose the latter. We offer to help and Zelensky if taking full blown advantage of it. 7 billion is neither reasonable or rational, to coin an often used phrase.

They’ve got a buncha T-72’s and T-80’s they’ve found abandoned and recently came into that they can employ to tow their new guns Larry 🤡

And you’re absolutely right those loitering munitions are nothing to worry about just keep telling your tank crews that 🤡🤡

Sure, they have nothing to fear, just ask the people in the northern suburbs of Kyiv. I'm sure they aren't victims though, those elderly women and children were obviously flashing a little leg and begging for it. Otherwise the civilians there had nothing to fear from the Russian military.
