On Chase Dollander, the Vols have indeed received good news. The MRI he received during Sunday's game revealed no break/fracture of his pitching elbow that was struck by a line drive in the first inning of Saturday's game, and now he's just dealing with swelling and soreness. His timetable for a return is simple: "ASAP"

Rough news for Seth Halvorsen though who has been targeting an early-to-mid April return after fracturing his arm while throwing a bullpen over the winter. I am told he has suffered a significant setback and will miss the remainder of the season.

As for Camden Sewell, who has been in a boot since he pitched on Saturday, he's dealing with a bone bruise and is expected to be fine.

It’s underrated when they’re conducting the Shorts Olympics in Indianapolis. David Bell beasted for Purdue and committed the cardinal sin of running a 4.6. He’s dropping in the mocks. Some schlub team will take a flyer on him from the 3rd down, benefit from him for over a decade and in that timespan never time him in the 40 again.
Yeah, my hope is it's the Titans.

Bad news on Halvorsen. Feel bad for the kid. I am wondering if he will have trouble pursuing a pro career.

Saw some trolls come out of the woodworks in the Kasper thread saying ā€œNico can’t get us any elite playersā€ ā€œHe committed 3 weeks ago we should already have multiple 5*ā€

Just gonna go ahead and drop this right here.

Nico is working Frances Mauigoa really hard. Vols would love to get him to campus and see what happens from there. Obviously Tate as well along with Tony Mitchell (extreme long shot) and others.

Exactly but unfortunately some fans prob have their sights set a little to high per usual u know how that goes.I think even last season surprised most of us so no reason we shouldn't be just as good if not better.Theres also alot more factors that come into play and we were lucky last year and didn't face a bunch of adveristy which was quiet surprising.
Also think we went under the radar a bit last year. For people that genuinely keep up with CFB and remove their biases, we will be in the spotlight a lot more this season. Most expect us to be pretty good. I could absolutely see us being 9-3 and have a 10-win season with a bowl win. Anything better is just icing on the cake.

I think other teams are looking at Tennessee with jealousy and envy. They complain about what we are doing with NIL but wish they were doing the same. I believe I heard somewhere that somehow Nico's NIL "encourages" him to recruit other players. Don't know if that's BS or even possible. But it makes sense.

I honestly believe Spyre and Tennessee have created something unique that other schools haven't figured out yet. We ARE ahead of the game and don't doubt we have an NIL system that is leaps and bounds ahead of the top competition.

Can’t be.

I read that dudes post in the Kasper thread so…

Basilio indicated that both Kasper and Tate came in asking for 1.5 mil (which has been rumored). We obviously didn’t take Kasper up on that offer. Tate only asked Ohio St for 500k. Says Nico’s deal being leaked to the Athletic may be hurting us because these big time guys come to UT expecting huge numbers over market value and may be turned off a little once they are rebuffed. They know we have big money. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.

You know basilio never has any idea what he’s talking about, right?
