You and your f'n robots..AI is going to destroy humanity according to many futurists..and you can't wait for it..

Edit: That is obviously not what I believe is going to happen since I believe in Jesus, but for you guys that are unbelievers, it seems you would be more...uhmm..wary of AI.
What are your thoughts on Elon Musk? Genuinely curious.

Only 80 pitches. Should’ve let him go. Might be the last shot of his career
The coach got Kershaw’s input and it didn’t sound like Keyshawn really wanted to risk it either. It wasn’t very warm and they had a short preseason.

The difficulty it would take for a team, or conference on behalf of a team, to cheat/hack a technology like this would be vastly greater than the difficulty right now for a human ref to become corrupt. Biases can be programmed into tech, there’s already examples of this in the real world, but biases also can’t be hidden if an audit is performed, which they should be regularly.

All that to be said, I don’t want technology to take over all aspects of a refs job, but assistance technology should absolutely be incorporated. Look at the USFL this year. They will be testing out having chips in footballs this year and all down and distance, ball spotting, etc will be done by this technology. If it works out well, you’ll see it in the NFL sooner than later.
Lol...like they wouldn't and couldn't stage a bogus audit..you guys trust way too much.

Self-improving AI will either be the best or last contribution mankind makes.
We already live in a time when the people in power can destroy is all from the comfort of their office. I don’t stress about AI but it’s odd to think what damage a hacker could do by taking control of millions of electric cars. We see how easily governments hack each other’s most high risk facilities. It makes life easier so we will gladly continue on our current path.

I’m 100% on board with not letting a governing body do the audit in the place of a team doing the audit. That’s not what I’m talking about.

This is what I’m talking about. Example: NFL sets up the technology for chips in the balls for first down marker, goal line marker, etc. Each team has the ability to audit the tech. It can be once a year or a continual audit with monitoring on the codebase where any change triggers more audits.

There’s just so many ways to handle it that offer much more trust than a human on the field that may or may not be corrupt or biased.

Our lighting system set-up is first class, really puts the live entertainment value over the top. Can't believe there was so much whining about it. . .
Remember...whenever they were testing them out in an empty stadium? Like NIL, we were behind in lights, as well. "How are we ever going to catch Bama in that strobe game?!?!", they lamented.
