I’m not sure why either. I have a friend whose cousin is an MLB scout. He said Vandy’s success does nothing for the college game because their fan base sucks. He said teams like UT, LSU, Mississippi schools are what generate crowds and improve the game.

They didn’t do a real good job….. we won 6-2

Yep!

About 10 yrs ago, they made new banners for all the Conference Champion teams. I happened to be on campus for a game, and the AD/Basketball Coach at the time (Dave Loos) gave me the old one that hung in the rafters. Still have it at home!

I am so grateful for where our major programs are and/or headed. I am also grateful for our creative branding team and that they have good taste and think things through to the end consumer level. Can you imagine trying to cheer on the VolBoys?

Agree on the waxing that arse. When the sun is slowly setting on a program as it is with them, primarily due to NIL and the capital investment at UT and others (see MSU CWS results last season), folks do things like Corbin did to try to remain relevant. He miscalculated what the result would be.

Players' families are paying attention to the coaches that burn through players, primarily pitchers, to get the results they want. Corbin and Van Horn are two classic examples. Voltello/Anderson will not do that. As a result, they will recruit better than the others over time. Add in the new ball park facilities. Great time to be a Vol fan.

We are passing them before their very eyes in their own backyard. Can’t imagine the big feelings they’re having
