Like someone alluded to earlier...it's the same with small guys. Spud Webb, Nate Robinson, Mugsy Bogues. Rating on a curve...nobody seems to get riled up over the small fellers winning it.

I'll say this - Candace was the first female to win this event...18 years ago. Only been 2 others since. And she's these girls' #1 mentioned inspiration. That's pretty cool. Jmo. Candace is such a boss...she also owns Shaq and Charles in debates 😅

Either he had zero idea Will would actually touch him OR he knew 100% Will was going to slap him. Cause if you're worried or uncertain you'd at least flinch.

I don't know, to me even after delivering a poor taste joke I would have expected Rock to respond a bit more than he did. I've seen comedians get confronted and then they turn into the aggressor more than what Rock did.

He leaned in like Will was going to say something to Chris directly, or speak into his mic. He looked like he thought AT WORST Will was going to roast him back. The slap was completely unexpected.

Still I hate the idea that you're taking the compete out of competition. And obviously I can't speak for the women who have competed and won said dunk contest, but to me it'd almost be like a damn slap in the face. Grade me the same as anyone else, if it's a 7 point dunk then give me 7s. The reason these women have entered is for the opportunity to compete and I'm sure most of them don't see it as a "real" win anyway.

There's a dude who is the national champion at women's swimming who I'm quite positive believes it is a real win.

There was a time I would have agreed with you. But I don't underestimate our ability to be delusional any more. Lie about absurd things long enough and people will believe absurd things.

To be fair, there is a difference between Spud Webb's or Nate Robinson's dunks and any woman's on Earth. At least little guys dunks actually look spectacular because of the vertical jump air space and hang time. Women should get a separate category to compete against each other with women's sized balls and everything.

I don't think comparing Nate Robinson to these girls is at all the same thing.



That's not barely flushing it with 1 hand...the dude had serious hops.

Yea any man that's ever been in a fight or on the other end of someone wanting to fight u know that was real.I was skeptical at first but naw fairly certain that was legit.I don't think Smith really wanted to do it based on how he approached him also sure Rock didn't expect getting smacked but as u said maybe he was gonna take the mic or give him that whisper like"Mofo I gotta go home with her stfu"speech. You get what I mean tho Will Smith randomly smacking the piss outta anyone would have caught you off guard for sure.Id say foe the next hour most everyone was like' Wait wtf just happened here".
