Speaking of transgender. . . what's with all these sex change operation ads at the bottom of my screen? . .

Keywords. But really you get ads for it? That's crazy. I didn't think there'd be enough demand to warrant advertising. I was always under the impression that docs with the skills to do these things are backlogged.

I have no doubt that real bias exists (in whatever form: racism, sexism, ageism, regional, etc), but I am also certain that much of what we attribute to bias is actually legitimate concern about cultural fitness. It's easier to talk about when it's southern white people, but it equally applies throughout cultural groups, whether those are race centered or not. It gets very hot very fast, however, if you extend that conversation to certain minority cultures and how culture may be more of an impediment to success than the much more popular ABC-isms that dominate the discussion.
I think we agree in a large way.

As far as taboo, yes it seems a very quiet subject overall. Not many people want to talk about it, regardless of background. It's either received with fragility (ie us white folks feeling we're being attacked under critique) or worse. It's so "personal" even though it is very much existentialist. No one is born adhering to a culture and can shift at-will, if they wanted to.

It's so hard to talk about...just get into mere confederate flags or speak of privilege and some will just fall apart or become defensive on the spot. And the use of tu quoque responses is ubiquitous. It's not easy, but an important subject imo. Can only hope to show evidence of a better way and hope some do their own research and see that as well.

Does diet soda make that big a difference for the average person?

I drink maybe, maybe 1 can of coke a day. I can't imagine it would be bad enough on me to need to be a diet soda. I guess diet is better for the people who drink several sodas a day. . .

I had to Google how many sodas the average person drinks daily. . . 2.6 . . . they drink 45 GALLONS, or 375lbs per year, equal to about 470 cans. . .

That's about 235oz of aluminum used, worth about $8. Enough to buy about 8 gallons of gas in 1998. . . it's been 24 years since '98, 24÷8=3. . . Which all points to Tennessee football winning a national title in 3 years - the 125th anniversary of Roddy Coca~Cola Bottling Company.
I drink no cans of coke a day.

I prefer bottles.

Don't judge me.
