IDK the backstory is that Jada Pinkett has alopecia and Rock cut a joke about her playing GI Jane 2 because she's bald. That's head cracking worthy. Still I'm surprised at how well Rock took the punch but then again he's probably been punched in the face a lot given his wit.

No it’s not. First, I bet Chris didn’t know she has Alopecia. Second, a GI Jane joke is about as harmless as it gets. Good. Grief, isn’t like he cracked on their open marriage or something.

There’s no excuse for that at all.

Will can sit and crack jokes about people, but can’t take it.

You're gonna let someone insult your wife on national tv? There's a backstory there Bass. Chris Rock crossed a line and he knew it before he did it. He knew there was sensitivity there. He did it to get the reaction he got. Because the idea of Will Smith hitting anyone is hilarious.

Idk, comedy, lawsuit, or neither, start making inappropriate jokes about my old lady or family, you're probably about to get the piss beat out of you. . . but, I bet there is more to it than what we're being told.

It's not about her playing GI Jane though which was actually a pretty good movie. It's about him pointing out that she's bald. Women are sensitive about their hair and/or lack thereof and black women doubly so. Rock was aware of it and knew he'd get a reaction. No blood was shed and it made for entertainment so I'm not too concerned about it. That's showbiz.

It depends on the joke. “I can’t wait to see you in GI Jane 2” at an event known for these types of joke is hardly “I have to defend my wife’s honor!” Territory. Good grief people

I wasn’t really paying attention with it on and saw what happened. Actually thought it was a staged joke until the audio cut out of Will going off. Knew it was real then. Definitely weird how that escalated so fast, but Chris should’ve avoided it. And Will didn’t handle that well, but talking smack about your sick wife on live TV can easily push the envelope.
