That loss sucks, but it shouldn't take away from what those young men accomplished this year. They worked hard, fought together, won an SEC tournament championship, and went to the dance. I am proud of them and thankful to have a good man leading our basketball program. I look forward to next year and what this program has in store for us. Go Big Orange!

I just can’t figure tonight out. This is one of those games that will be seared in my mind for the rest of my life.

At least I’m not so jaded that I don’t care, I guess.
This is not as inexplicable as the Oklahoma State loss, I think it hurts as much as the Loyola-Chicago loss. It's as frustrating as the last Michigan loss, or the Purdue loss. I just don't understand how we came out and got ambushed like this. Crazy.

How? He had an arm bar on Uros while Uros was trying to shoot and they call an offensive foul away from the action on Vescovi. They weren't calling Dickenson (?) or whatever his name was for anything and if we got near him we got called (didn't even have to touch him).
That was a foul on vescovi…. It happened and was called before Uros got the ball.

I’m almost
Numb to these things now
I’m barely mad bc i guess I was mentally prepared to lose for the third time to Michigan. Bad BVS I guess

To all the Barnes trolls , who do you suggest that Tennessee that will get you trolls to the F4? Maybe 1 or 2 will attempt to answer

Most don't care about basketball or the F4. They care about other forums and Reddit making fun of them regardless of however dumb the argument or meme is (and on the internet the dumber the meme the more likely it is to stick). If we were to change coaches right now they'd be the first ones to call the new coach whatever rival fan called them. They do to this board what is done to them on other ones.

Okay, I said I was done for tonight, but I had to come back for one more comment. I figured out the problem. It's so effin' simple. We need our own magic nun. With a magic nun, we'd be invincible!

Also, Lunardi can suck a big fat one. I'll meet that fawker at the Waffle House any day of the week.

I agree. I was waiting for a game where we caught a ton of whistles, like the first Villanova game or the game @ Arkansas. Didn't happen. We just did not adjust at all, or account for their big man.
Yeah I am around sports too much and I was at a high school age soccer game this morning…. I was sitting near the other teams fans and they blamed the refs the whole game…. It happens at every level for every game played…. Those same fans never ever seem to question any calls that go in favor of their team. One of my favorite comments from fans is when they count fouls like they are suppose to be even when in reality a team can commit ten more fouls than the other team…. Some games I think are very poorly officiated but usually they are officiated fairly well…. Today…. There were a couple questionable calls but nothing real egregious…. We just didn’t play our best and have no one to blame but ourselves.

Did you see the Baylor-UNC game though? 😒

This Gonzaga-Memphis game is crazy

The theme of this tournament is bad (but super talented) teams squeaking in and getting hot at the right time. And of course we fall victim to it.

Michigan, Memphis, and NC underachieved all year, and they’re all about to go the 16. Putrid.

And worse than any of it, that overrated Duke squad is having their path open up right before our eyes.

It actually makes me wonder how on Earth, UK managed to lose. This should've been their year. They fit the pattern, imo because they were far more talented than they played.

You just choose to ignore it. There were definitely mentions of the officiating when we beat UK in the SEC semis. But that doesn’t fit your narrative. The college officiating has sucked for several years now…win, lose, or draw. You can write that in stone. But the conference doesn’t care to fix it.
Best thing to do is ignore the troll. I've McGilled him.

Do we do interviews or do we just find a nun and UTify her? I'm game either way.

Even though I thought we got a bad draw, I really did think this year would be different because of a few things:
- we were red hot entering the dance for the first time since I can remember;
- we seemed fresh and super motivated;
plus
- we finally had the kind of point guard that you need to carry you through bad shooting nights.

But here we are, crying in our beers yet again.
