Oh. You used to be able to tell when Bruin was plying his craft. Actually believed he was a fan who would rather contrarian an argument to fill a void in the hole that was his existence. Never felt that way about Chex…the fan part. 😏
Party mix, always a favorite of parties with 80’s soccer moms or the goat, office forced attendees.

Poking around the marshes and barrier islands of Mississippi on the fly today....a nice 30” bull red and two Black Drum over 30 LBS. Biggest was probably closer to 40 LBS. Had that 10 weight and my arm begging for mercy lol.
had been casting to reds all day. guide said he normally is happy to land 2 fish a day, we landed 8, including a 30" this summer in Beaufort.

ive caught blacks in florida on conventional. saw two nice slots swim by., cast to them 3 times right on the nose... nothing. pretty rare to get a shot at blacks on fly.

those are some monsters sir. very nice.

A severely sprained ankle is literally a small tear in the ligaments. If someone breaks a bone, they are coming off the field.

You just want to dig in on Heupel and his offense, which is no surprise. Teams should be able to play fast, slow, or in between if they think it’s an advantage. Faking injuries admits you can’t handle it.
Depending on the grade yes. It could be a small tear, or continue to be a complete tear.

Soften 1 cup of peanut butter for 30 seconds in the microwave. Place parchment paper in an 8X8 baking pan. Pour in the softened peanut butter and spread evenly. Place in the freezer for an hour. Remove the parchment paper and chilled PB from the pan.

Mix up your favorite brownies. Pour half the batter in the same 8X8 pan. Peel the PB off the paper and sit on the batter. Cover with the other half of batter. Bake as suggested.

Be sure to check the little town of Sausalito out too its right there on the way. Much warmer there than in San Francisco Bay area.

Absolutely eat at Scoma’s in Sausalito. Ask for Peter. Great waiter who is an avid fisherman. Has some great stories of fishing in the Bay. Scoma’s in Sausalito is way better than the original one. Great views of the Bay as well.

He told us about a buddy that went with him one day and they are fishing while sitting in inner tubes. His buddy starts freaking out because his tube sprang a leak. He hollering that he can’t swim and Peter keeps fishing. As his buddy starts to sink, he looks over and says “just stand up.” They were in maybe 3-4 feet of water. 😂

Haven't posted in the last few weeks...I've still tried to keep up with most everything VN the best I could, but...

I came down with covid a few weeks back...went thru and got over that, which wasnt too bad (headaches and sweats were the worst!!!), thank the good Lord; however, then my mom and grandma got it, and it made them pretty sick. Again, thank the Lord, they got over it, and got well. But, then my granny broke her ribs right on the heels of covid, and that was just awful for her, the pain...i can only imagine. Fortunately, she is on the mend, and feeling a bit better.

However, while all of this was going on, my mom was diagnosed with cancer. Over the last couple of weeks, we have lived at the Dr office and hospital, getting all of her tests and scans run, leading up to her chemo and radiation treatments, which will begin on the 14th. She will beat this, but she has some tough days ahead.

I have never been one to post my personal life on social media, and debated back and forth about posting this...however, I'm asking all of Vol Nation, if you will, to please keep my mom and my family in your prayers. As we've seen, our Big Orange family can move mountains, and the power of prayer has no bounds. To all of you who are sick and afflicted, or have loved ones who are down, I'm with you...to all of you who are on the mend, I rejoice.

GBO!
Your family will be in my prayers. May the Lord bless and keep you.

You've obviously never played. Do you have any idea the amount of execution required to successfully run an offense at the tempo of ours? Both of your arguments are absolutely wrong.

What about benching the starters for less talented athletes, so the starters can stay healthy? So it's ok to bench the starters for their health, but sacrifice the safety security of lesser players. . . but on the other hand, the lesser players shouldn't replace a starter due to injury, because then they're at a higher risk for injury.

Do you not understand how absolutely ignorant and delusional this is? You do know that you are in favor of both of these principals, right?
How well last season did we move the ball when we couldnt do tempo? I'll give you a hint not very well. Tempo should be a tool in the toolbox, but the whole offense shouldnt be predicated around it. Having receivers stand around because the offense goes so fast they need to take plays off to get a break is dumb. Trying to force things because your o line is only conditioned to run x amount of plays because you want to go fast is dumb. Being able to execute when a team knows whats coming is the sign of a good team. Not oh no we need rule changes because we cant execute unless we are going fast.

Theres a difference between a 2nd and 3rd string kid whos been in a weight room and been able to work his body into shape vs a walk on FR who never expected to play, but now has to because of a stupid rule.

A waste of time and a player safety concern are two different things. Say an nfl caliber FCS player is playing RB but his offensive lineman are terrible. They play UGA, both his legs have to be amputated due to a gruesome injury. They replace them with robot legs and he becomes the fastest man in the world and a super spy. He dates only models now. What a success story.
1 something thats never going to happen. 2. Youre talking about a small percentage of a very small percentage already. 99.9% of FCS kids dont belong on the field with a D1 team.

So what defines offense? Pretty sure throwing the ball was at one point considered gimmicky. So if I slow the offense down and run the clock out and rely on good defense, is that a gimmick? Which offense should we run to make sure it’s not a gimmick?
Being able to execute without tempo makes it not a gimmick. Tempo should be a tool in the toolbox, not the whole damn set and the only thing you rely on. Heupels offense doesnt work unless it can go fast.

I thought we were making up crazy scenarios to fit our argument. You still didn’t say if FCS teams are a waste of time or a legit player safety issue.
