War in Ukraine

That is stupid. Biden just gave a speech where he predicted the invasion was imminent. Do you live in a damn cave?!?!?!?! Holy F***!
I don’t think Biden can predict anything anymore but yes our intelligence people have been proven correct. I’m still surprised though. Guess this is truly the first modern war between two first world countries.

Donald Trump held a rally in Atlanta just prior to those run-off elections, where he spent more time attacking the integrity of statewide elections in Georgia, than he did endorsing Loeffler and Perdue.

Donald Trump went as far as to say that statewide elections in Georgia were rigged against Republicans, and their outcomes could not be trusted. That was the wrong message to send to Republican voters, at the worst possible time. While Donald Trump never specifically told voters to stay home on Election Day, as Powell and Wood did, his speech had the same effect. Why take time out of your day to go vote in elections, when the outcomes of those elections have already been pre-determined against your preferred candidates?

It's fair to say that at least during that one speech, Donald Trump cared more about discrediting his own defeat, than he cared about whether or not Loeffler and Perdue kept their Senate seats. Donald Trump will always put his ego first.
I was just pointing out there were other factors in play besides Trump. He had nothing to do with the outcome there. There were close to 20 candidates to choose from in the initial Warnock and Loeffler special election and Hazel took enough votes away from Perdue to cause a runoff. Perdue actually received more votes than Ossoff the first time around. I also wouldn't be surprised if Hazel supporters chose not to vote in the runoff as well. I mean why would they?

Right now Georgians are seeing what a mess Biden has become and that the two democrat Senators there are simply puppets for the Biden administration. Republicans can also find better candidates besides Perdue and Loeffler who actually represent the interests of everyday Americans. They are not the type of candidates the Republican party needs moving forward.

You guys tend to forget that Biden and Putin had a meeting back in June 2021. Has that been conveniently forgotten? They are playing you guys like fools.

When China takes Taiwan and the US Dollar loses its standard as the worlds sovereign currency, you will know true apocalypse.
Buy crypto and gold. Now.
I don't know you, but I would recommend that you discuss such action with a Certified Financial Adviser, if you haven't already. To call this risky, would be an understatement.

Keep in mind that Putin's war will have consequences here. It's inevitable. Higher oil, stock market hit, stuff like that.

Blaming Biden or blaming Trump or blaming any politician here is simply misguided now. This is all on Putin.

Some here may not like NATO, but it's worked for 70+ years and we 'won' the cold war once already.

But as the old saying goes, when America sneezes, the rest of the world catches pneumonia.

Putin is a former KGB agent and Cold War relic. I have read where he still laments the 30 year old collapse of the Soviet Union. The most strife that he will inflict, will be on his own people.

Ukrainian troops in Kharkov are engaging Russian armor

Will be interesting to see if Russian troops simply bypass a big city like Kharkov (1.4M pop), siege it, or invade it. Russian armor would be vulnerable to Javelins and other defensive systems if they engage in close quarters. Plus urban combat would likely produce huge Russian casualties and major negative press of a bunch of dead Ukrainian civilians.

I read elsewhere this morning that Putin claims he has no intent to 'occupy' Ukraine. Hmm.

Well, if that were the case, it would seem Putin believes (hopes?) he can get Ukraine to quickly capitulate and surrender to Russia. I just don't see that happening.

And if he does actually intend on occupying Ukraine, well If anything, I suspect Putin has opened the door to a potential protracted guerilla style war, where Russian invaders will be shot at by anyone and most everyone with a gun in the country, while some Ukrainians will likely flip sides.

Supposedly Putin is a big history buff, but I think he's forgotten the a$$ pounding the Russians got in their last guerilla war in Afghanistan, and he's underestimating the potential quagmire that could result in Ukraine.

Literally nearly the entire world (save China, Cuba and Venezuela) is gonna support Ukraine with everything but boots on the ground.

I've read (shaky reliability) of civilians reporting that the Russian were trying to encircle Kharkov.

Ukraine is also making it legal/easier for civilians to acquire firearms. Wonder if they distribute any surplus to the civilians.

I want Ukrainians to know we stand with you, and it is NOT the "US KIDS" that are spreading these lies. It is the new fuhrer himself. The devil incarnate. Who has infiltrated American politics as well, but we have spotted him.

But we were prepared to hit them hard to maintain our sphere of influence. I’m just saying I can follow Russia’s logic of not wanting a NATO country on their border
I think the 'preparing to hit them hard' was propaganda. We eventually removed our missiles from Turkey and the Russians pulled theirs out of Cuba.
There are already five NATO countries on Russia's border. What's one more? But unless I missed it there was no move for Ukraine to join NATO; just Putin demanding guarantees that it will never happen.

"After former President Donald Trump was cut off during a call-in interview on Fox News Thursday night, he returned to the airwaves shortly afterward with a gaffe about the US military.

"You know what's also very dangerous is you told me about the amphibious attack by Americans," Trump mistakenly said on "The Ingraham Angle."

"You shouldn't be saying that, because you and everybody else shouldn't know about," Trump continued. "They should do that secretly, not be doing that through the great Laura Ingraham."

"No, those are the Russians," Ingraham replied."
