War in Ukraine

Ah yes I don’t think Putin has any interest in conflict with us. He wants his sphere of influence. This isn’t too dissimilar from how we approached the Cuban missile crisis

Except we avoided the Cuban Missile Crisis. He’s saying “if anybody outside…” he’s nuts.

Putin speaking tonight just announced a “special military operation” in Ukraine. Wonder if Ras will come in here and say he was wrong?
I haven't claimed to know the future, nor have I ever ruled out the idea of Putin moving in.

Try harder to put words in my mouth.

This has taken an odd turn; let's backtrack. What specifically were you asking or implying here:
"Which seems like a victory to Putin this evening doesn’t it?"

He has every country saying, “ we can’t intervene because they have nuclear weapons” do you agree with that?

I voted for DJT twice but he lost me when he decided to put himself above the country and gave the Dems 2 Senate seats in GA. Had he actually campaigned for Loeffler and Perdue instead of being a self centered ass, none of the crap that has happened since then would have occurred. No so called infrastructure bill, no threat of BBB, and the progressive agenda would have been DOA in the Senate. Most importantly, the next Supreme Court Justice would not be a progressive warrior, so yeah, heck no.
Don't blame Trump for that one. CJ Pearson, Sidney Powell, Lin Wood and crew were telling Republicans not to go out and vote in the runoff. Loeffler and Perdue received about 10 percent less votes in the runoff.

Doug Collins and Shane Hazel also ran in the special election and took votes away from Loeffler and Perdue.

And when did DJT go out and say that the country's future was more important than his own self interests?

Donald Trump held a rally in Atlanta just prior to those run-off elections, where he spent more time attacking the integrity of statewide elections in Georgia, than he did endorsing Loeffler and Perdue.

Donald Trump went as far as to say that statewide elections in Georgia were rigged against Republicans, and their outcomes could not be trusted. That was the wrong message to send to Republican voters, at the worst possible time. While Donald Trump never specifically told voters to stay home on Election Day, as Powell and Wood did, his speech had the same effect. Why take time out of your day to go vote in elections, when the outcomes of those elections have already been pre-determined against your preferred candidates?

It's fair to say that at least during that one speech, Donald Trump cared more about discrediting his own defeat, than he cared about whether or not Loeffler and Perdue kept their Senate seats. Donald Trump will always put his ego first.

I'm not sure how that related to that post of mine, but to answer - no; I don't think Russia would deploy nukes against a NATO intervention. But I don't see NATO intervening in any event, so the question is moot. If the West wanted to keep Russia out of Ukraine, it should have admitted them to NATO over Russian objections, OR left Ukraine with its nuclear arsenal when the USSR collapsed. Instead they relinquished them because Western nations assured them their sovereignty would be protected. The EU has an economy 9X larger than Russia, and 3X the population. I don't see our interest in getting involved in another European war.

This is such a strange take in light of Donald Trump's recent praise of Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump just described Putin's justification for further incursion into the Ukraine, as "genius" and "savvy."

The use of this meme seems to imply that the Russian incursion either wouldn't have happened at all if Donald Trump was still the President of the United States, or that Trump would have done something to stop it.

Just from gauging the rhetoric from Donald Trump's own response to this, what could possibly be your basis for believing that?
